Here at the shelter, all adopted animals are microchipped and we give you simple instructions on how to register. Through us, microchips are free to register and free to update if you ever move or change contact information.

Unsure if your pets are microchipped? They can be scanned at any local vet office or shelter.

Howard County Animal Control is participating in MARYLAND 3000: Saving lives across Maryland

Along with other participating shelters, we are waiving adoption fees for anyone adopting in the month of August! Maryland’s collective goal is to find homes for at least 3,000 homeless shelter animals across the state.

All adopted animals will be vaccinated, microchipped, spayed or neutered, and ready to find a loving home. Though fees are waived, all regular adoption procedures still apply.
