UPDATE! Our rescue is no longer active, however our board member, Janelle Brothers, is now part of Cali Cats Rescue. Cali Cats Resue is strictly a cat rescue but serves same areas as Pennsyltucky Paws.

After two surgeries and months of healing, our little fighter Miss Poppy has been officially adopted. When we found her tiny lifeless body in a pile of hay, next to a dead bird, we never thought she would have made it this far. Poppy's wonderful adopters couldn't wait to welcome her into their home where they already have a blind kitten. We couldn't be happier for Poppy and her new family!! Thanks for adopting!!!

Unfortunately Stella did not make it. We tried our best. It's likely she had ongoing health issues and decliced as the weather got cooler. Please spay and neuter to prevent cats from suffering like Stella did. Thank you for your donations towards her vet bill.

Stella is part of an outdoor colony of about 15 cats. Her caretaker called and said she was very ill. We immediately got her to a vet. Stella in bad shape. She only weighs 2 lbs. She tested negative for Leukemia and FIV. She received fluids and antibiotics. Her vet bill was $250 today. Please help us out if you can and send good vibes. We'll continue to post updates.

We trapped an entire colony - 14 adults and 11 kittens. We could really use some friskies wet food to feed the cats before and after surgery. We hold cats up to 3 days after surgery to recover. That's at least 14 cans per day for the adults. Can anyone help us out?

The junkyard TNR project is getting close to being finished. We're estimating less than 10 cats that still need to be fixed. Over the weekend, we collected 10 kittens all around 5 weeks old. We trapped 9 adults and 4 kittens at the junk yard yesterday. That brings the total to 19 adults and 9 kittens so far. There are still a lot of cats out there and likely more kittens. We're doing our best to get this colony under control.

One of the cats gave us a little surprise when we go to the clinic. We had no idea she was in labor! She gave birth to 4 beautiful babies in the van on the PA turnpike! We are always in need of supplies and donations if you can help.

Bandit has hit the jackpot with her lovely new family. After fostering her for a short time while she was waiting for her spay, her foster momma decided she was staying permanently. Bandit loves everyone. As you can see, the grandchildren love her too! Congrats to Bandit and her new family! Thanks so much for adopting a senior!

We finally got Bobbi and her 3 little girls into the rescue. We have been trying to find them for the past couple of weeks but she had them hidden pretty well. We spotted them today and knew that it was our only chance to get them into rescue. Bobbi is very friendly. She allowed us to bathe and deworm her little ones while she watched. We got Bobbi started on a good diet to help her care for her babies. Please let us know if you would like to foster. Bobbi will do all of the hard work. Fosters get first dibs on adopting Bobbi and her babies when they are ready. We are always in need of paper towels and food.

We trapped this friendly boy recently. When we took him to get fixed, the vet noticed that he has Entropian in one eye. We are getting him his much needed eye surgery this week. To get him ready for a new home, it's going to cost us about $150. Let's change this sweet boy's life forever and get him off of the streets of Charleroi!

Chicka's foster family decided that she was right where she belonged (we already suspected it). They surprised their daughter and adopted Chicka before she came home from work. Congrats to Chicka and her new forever family!!!
