To our wonderful clients and patients!!

We are under new management!!
Dr. Howard has retired suddenly due to medical reasons. His business partner Dr. Evan Crocker is now our full owner along with his wife, Dr. Lisa Crocker, who is now our doctor on staff.

This has been an extremely quick change, and we apologize for not getting this information out sooner! We are trying to see patients and work through this change.

Dr. Taylor has moved east of the mountains and we are hoping to see her more in the spring.

Dr. Evan Crocker also owns Mercer Island Veterinary Clinic and Seattle Veterinary Dentistry. We are unable to do acupuncture at this time, but acupuncture is available at Mercer Island Veterinary Clinic.

Please call if you have any questions!!

To our dear clients and community members,

We appreciate your understanding as we all struggle through the “new reality” of trying to provide quality veterinary care in the midst of this pandemic.

We ask you to understand that we have the same challenges that many of you are facing...many days we are not fully staffed because of quarantines, illness, the need to be home-schooling our children, or caring for ill relatives. When we are understaffed, the rest of the staff is working “extra” to provide care for you and your pets. The physical and emotional toll has been very challenging.

We would appreciate your kindness in dealing with our receptionists who answer the phone, and our assistants who carry your friends in and out of the rooms and clinic. We ask that you strive to protect us all from illness so that we can be available as much as possible for you and your friends. We require that you wear a mask when we are interacting with you. Our staff wear masks to protect you, and each other, and we ask you to protect us as well.

One of the most frustrating things is not being able to accommodate all of our patients at all times. We are not an emergency clinic, emergencies require staff dedicated and ready for the rapidly changing conditions that emergencies bring, we just do not have that capability. For example, if we are doing surgery on your pet, you would not want us to stop and take care of an emergency. We understand that it is frustrating to have to go to the ER and wait for care, but that is what we have the ERs for, they are set up for monitoring, diagnosing and treating emergent situations. We are not. Our receptionists who answer our phones do not like to have to turn you away any more than you like it, but PLEASE don’t be mean to them, they are doing their very difficult job and will appreciate your kindness.

Thank you,
The doctors and staff of North Bend Animal Clinic

We think he is a farm turkey- he isn’t super fearful of people.

Hello everyone!
We are going to answer some frequently asked questions during this pandemic.
- We are open our regular hours, Mon-Sat from 7:30 am to 6 pm, as an essential business.
- We are offering curb side assistance- our clients can call when here and a technician will come out to the vehicle and take your pet inside for exam/ technician appointment. Our doctor will call you with results or to discuss the patient. We can take payment over the phone.
- We are limiting the amount of clients in our clinic at a time. We ask that there is only one person at a time in our lobby. This gives our staff members time to properly sanitize between clients. Our clients are more than welcome to call before coming to our door to ensure they can come inside.
- If you just need to pick up food or a medication, we are more than happy to take payment over the phone and put your pick up outside in a sealed bag.
- To ensure the safety of our staff and high risk clients, we are unable to see clients that have any symptoms of illness, whether it is a direct symptom of Covid-19 or not.

Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding. We hope everyone is staying safe during this time. Please feel free to call us with any other questions or concerns you have: (425) 888-3300.

*FOUND PET*

Sweet chocolate lab was found on Raging River Trail. She is NOT mircochipped. Seems to be a few years old. We think she is unspayed, but we didn't shave her to fully check. She is staying with the people that found her, so she is safe and happy.
If you know this pup or her owners, please contact the clinic with any information.

Per Sallal Water Website:

WHAT HAPPENED?
The staff at Sallal Water Association takes water samples from about 25 sampling stations located throughout the service area. In August samples were taken, and no E. Coli was present. As part of the routine sampling protocol, Sallal took water samples on Wednesday, September 11. Sallal received the lab results on Friday, September 13 and one sample showed f***l coliform bacteria, or E. coli, present in the water in the Riverpoint area. Sallal took follow-up samples as required by the Washington State Department of Health on Friday, September 13, and one sample came back still showing the bacteria in the water. On September 17, four additional samples were taken west of the original affected area. One of the samples included the presence of E. coli at the sampling station on 468th Ave SE. One sample had total coliform only.

WHAT SHOULD YOU DO? DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST.
Bring all water to a full boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using. Alternatively, you can use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water. It is acceptable to use water for bathing, showering, and washing clothing.

F***l coliforms and E. coli are bacteria whose presence indicates that the water may be contaminated with human or animal wastes. Microbes in these wastes can cause diarrhea, cramps, nausea, headaches, or other symptoms. They may pose a special health risk for infants, young children, and people with severely compromised immune systems. These bacteria can make you sick, especially for people with weakened immune systems. If you experience any of these symptoms and they persist, you may want to seek medical advice. People at increased risk should seek advice about drinking water from their health care providers.

WHAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM?
We do not know the cause of the contamination at this time. Bacterial contamination can occur when increased runoff enters the drinking water source, for example, following heavy rains. It can also happen due to a break in the distribution system lines, damage during construction, or a faulty backflow assembly.

WHAT IS THE ASSOCIATION DOING TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM?
Sallal has flushed the water system and added chlorine to eliminate the bacteria. Sallal is taking more water samples from the entire water distribution system and working closely with the DOH. Water operators from other systems have been supporting Sallal operators in sampling and inspecting the facilities. Sallal will inform customers when tests show that the water is safe to drink. Sallal is working toward correcting the problem by September 23-24. Bottled water donated from the Snoqualmie Tribe is available at the Sallal office, or Sallal can deliver upon request.

Please keep your eyes out for this sweet boy. His name is Yoda and he is 2 years old. He is neutered. He is not micro chipped and is not wearing a collar. He does not have a tail.
He went missing from the Cle Elum area about 5 days ago, but please keep your eyes peeled. Someone may have found him and brought him to this area to get him scanned for a microchip.
Please contact us if you find him or have seen him!
