✂️🐶🥳 Jasper initially came for a mini groom but since he showcased good behavior and allowed Nuria to work on his face, we called Mom and we told her that we can now officially do a full haircut. Mom agreed was excited and allowed us to go ahead and switch the appointment!

Lorenzo came in for his bath today. He suffers from a lot of allergies, so mom brings him to us to help get rid of clogged pores. Remember, the skin functions in removing toxins and if there is a lack of a cleaning routine, dirt, bacteria, and other allergens will cause to worsen any illness or issue.

July 14th,2018 was the grand opening of Pawtanicals. We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into but faith lead us to open the doors.

Today marks 6 years of servicing our community. We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the customers - who stayed with us even through a global pandemic, major renovations, and service changes. Here are a few tips to help keep your dog cool during these hot hot days:

💦 Plenty of fresh cool water
🎾 avoid long walks during sun peak hours
❌ DO NOT leave your dog in a car
🧊 cool your dog down by giving him/her a shower

🏥Know the Signs of Heatstroke in Dogs:
✅ Excessive panting and/or salivating
✅ Obvious discomfort
✅ Vomiting and diarrhea
✅ Disorientation
✅ Seizures

If you notice any of the above symptoms, get your dog into a cooler environment as soon as possible and call your veterinarian for further instructions

When it’s but starts this Friday 🥳😬

This is Theo! He is an Italian Greyhound who suffers from lots of allergies. Mom came from to try out the to help with the redness (irritation) and itchiness. This is his second bath and already seeing a difference. He is wrapped with a wet warm towel as we applied a moisturizing mask after the bath!

Q: Wʜʏ sʜᴏᴜʟᴅ ᴡᴇ ᴜᴘᴋᴇᴇᴘ ɴᴀɪʟ ᴄᴜᴛᴛɪɴɢ? A: When nails are so long that they constantly touch the ground, they exert force back into the nail bed, creating pain for the dog (imagine wearing a too-tight shoe) and pressure on the toe joint. Long term, this can actually realign the joints of the foreleg and make the foot looked flattened and splayed. Compromising your dog’s weight distribution and natural alignment can leave him/her more susceptible to injuries, and make walking and running difficult and painful. This is especially important in older dogs, whose posture can be dramatically improved by cutting back neglected nails. Some may think that sending 2 emails, a text message, and a phone call to confirm an appointment is exaggeration, but it seems like it’s NOT ENOUGH for us! As a small business, we HATE to charge people when we don’t provide a service. It’s uncomfortable 🥵 but the reality is that we must do it. 🐾 If you are ON-CALL for work: please DON’T make an appointment UNLESS you have a plan to drop off and pick up your dog already in place. 🐾 Emergencies. Well, if it’s an emergency, an appointment ANYWHERE shouldn’t even be a concern and accept fees.
