Sometimes, we are too late.

Midnight was a cat we urgently took in this morning. Her abdomen was full of fluid. Her rear end was covered in maggots. We are so sorry that you didn’t make it, sweet girl. Thank you for the chance to try and to make sure you didn’t suffer a moment longer.

We are collecting donations of $11 today to cover her care and to remind ourselves that even in the 11th hour, we can have mercy and give a dignified passing to cats like Midnight.

Thanks for taking time to read this. We will be back in spirits tomorrow at our open house.

UPDATE: foster secured!

MEET FAYE! We took Faye in today suspecting she was a pregnant stray cat. turns out she’s just full of sand 😳

We have a foster lined up for her but would also love to keep that option open for a truly pregnant cat. If you have a room for this sweet young lady to crash in for a couple weeks let us know! Warning, she has more toes than body mass 🫣

You may remember Klein, our very shy kitten we posted about a month back.

He had one visitor and it wasn’t a match because well, he’s shy.

We’re seeking an adopter who understands. Understands that he may hide for your entire visit. Understands that this kitten has probably been through trauma outside. Understands that he will need TIME to open up.

Klein is the oldest kitten we have in foster care (about 16 wks) and every passing week his chances of adoption grows slimmer and slimmer.

We promise, Klein is worth putting time into to, we’re begging for someone to give him a chance 🩵

We really can’t catch a break lately 😣

We were hoping to share the great news of Sarah and Farrah’s adoption, they were pending, they had a to go home date. We were so close to seeing them go home after all this time.

Instead we’re sharing the news that their adopter, their future family backed out. We are discouraged, we are heartbroken.

Once again we are seeking a home for these ladies, they deserve to be chosen.

FIV/FELV negative, 11 weeks old. All of them are ready to go to their new homes in 1-2 weeks (except the little guy in front who is spoken for)
