Happy Thanksgiving! Show us your pets who help you feel extra grateful this year! Vera is thankful for carpet rides and her best friend, Joe. Maybe if we post enough cute pics of this lil turkey, she’ll find a forever home!

Dear Friends,

As we reflect on an incredibly busy and meaningful year, we wanted to share some important updates and express our gratitude for your continued support.

We are honored to share that, for the third year in a row, our community has recognized us as one of the Best on the Shoreline in the category of Animal Rescue.

We are thrilled to have received a grant to fund Shelterluv, a powerful software that helps us streamline our daily operations and improve the care we provide to our cats. With Shelterluv, we can track medical records, manage adoptions more efficiently, and stay organized. This allows our staff and volunteers to focus more time on what truly matters: helping cats and kittens in need. We’re grateful for this support from Mission Meow and excited for the positive impact it will have on our rescue.

We proudly continue to place cats into long-term loving homes, provide for the feeding, shelter, and care of homeless, abandoned, and feral cats; educate the public about the importance of spay/neuter population control, responsible pet ownership and kindness to animals, and maintain an ongoing community network to achieve these goals.

Animal rescue always begins with a big question: Because not all health issues are immediately evident, we cannot know in advance what the related vetting expenses of a rescue will be.

Consequently, we try very hard to balance the basic medical needs of the many, like vaccinations and neutering, with the acute needs of some exceptional cases. The continuing and steady support of our sponsors, supplemented when needed by case-by-case donations, enables us to achieve this balance.

Our shelter manager receives requests daily for rescue assistance from area residents and local animal control agencies. Since January 1 we have taken in more than 250 cats/kittens and currently have over 108 cats and kittens under our care in our shelter and in foster homes. This year we have adopted out over 210 cats and kittens, bringing the total adoptions since we opened our shelter in 2011, to over 3,290!

We need your help NOW so we can continue fulfilling our mission!

Please consider a monetary gift through Faceook (this donation link) or our Amazon wishlist (linked in comments). We have some special items for our Annual Appeal - although less "glamorous" items, they're incredibly important for keeping our cats healthy!

Thank you in advance for your support, generosity, and compassion!

If you have given to us recently, please accept our heartfelt appreciation!

After feeling under the weather last week we took Evanescence for her vet appointment and got some blood work and additional panels done. Thankfully, she’s already looking brighter and seems to be on the mend. ❤️‍🩹

She’s eating more and has a bit more energy and is definitely showing signs of improvement. (Just look at those baby biscuits shes making on her foster mom!) We will continue to keep a close eye on her to make sure she’s still headed in the right direction.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and kept her in your thoughts. This allows us to ensure these cats and kittens are healthy, happy, and well cared for. ✨ ❤️

Peter was originally thought to be a male but we learned recently she’s a healthy female 😅

Still sweet Pete fits 😉

She’s 8 weeks old and ready for meet and greets! You can find her on petfinder under her new name, Parsnip 💘

We keep getting asked “do you have kittens for adoption” we know it’s crazy given the time of year but we have about 50 kittens that are available for adoption

To adopt a kitten please visit our website - there you can find information on our adoption policies plus the adoption application.

*if you have filled out an application and want to check the status please email the adoptions team [email protected]

Here is Birdie (F) another one of our kittens searching for a home 🤍

Meet Dusty! (In hindsight maybe her name should have been puddles) 🦆

Dusty is 8wks old, she loves cuddling with her foster mom and specializes in emptying the water bowl.

If you’re looking for a kitten who walks a fine line between cleaning the kitchen floor and messing it, Dusty is the girl for you!

If interested in adopting please fill out an application on our website 💧

Juniper 🫐

Juniper was a kitten found at east rock park a few weeks back, her initial post generated a lot of attention but not much follow through 😕

Juniper is about 3-4 months, fiv/felv negative, spayed and vaccinated, she loves the other cats in her foster home, dogs unknown.

Please help us find Juniper her forever home, preferably one with warm laundry piles 😉

Tiny Evanescence has been feeling crummy for about 10 days…just leaking diarrhea when she walks. She is very playful and has a good appetite! We need to run some bloodwork and a diarrhea panel to try to get to the bottom of what’s bugging her. Please root for this little lady (the smallest in her litter of 7!). Any support you can provide to help us care for her is immensely appreciated (bill today was about $400).
