Sometimes I have 2 dogs who really want the same toy. To try to head off problems, I usually take that toy out of the backyard and hope they each find another they’re happy with. Fast forward to Fin and Churro. I know Fin loves a ball and he really loves a football. I saw Churro discovering our Nylabone football in the backyard and kept a close watch to see what Fin would do. Fin mostly looked at Churro, then looked sad at me. I was just about to step in when Fin got over it immediately and fell in love with a tennis ball instead♥️♥️♥️. Boys in love can be fickle. We’re on our 2nd box of fruits & veggies from @southernpridefarmmd and we are loving it! Rhi will eat pretty much anything from the box and has helped herself to plenty! (Mark refuses to close the gate to the kitchen🙄). She loves tomatoes, green beans, peaches and corn. Lew isn’t into the corn but loves everything else. Tulip usually refuses all veggies and had no interest in the peaches. She surprised me by taking part in catching the cherry tomatoes but she is crazy for any ball. I suspect she thought she was getting a new ball!🤭 She played with it for a bit, but she did actually eat it! I love that they think they’re getting a treat and it’s not making them “fluffier”🥰. It’s my circus. They’re my monkeys. My Rhi-Rhi♥️ Rhiannon♥️. My sweet girl is ALWAYS hungry. I’ve started adding fresh vegetables to Rhi’s & Lewes’s food. Why just them? Rhiannon seems to never be full and Lew needed to lose a few lbs before his dental surgery on Wednesday so I thought this would help make them feel full without adding a ton of calories. Plus, they’re really really good for them! Tulip has Mark’s taste in food. She has no interest in anything that’s good for her, but she will certainly take some seafood, steak or chicken. But she will eat a carrot or two🥰 & you better get out of her way if she knows you have pizza crust😂. The day after I picked up my fruit & veggie box, I noticed that one of the peaches was missing and a couple of ears of corn. Mark hates fruits & vegetables, but I could see him eating the peaches. So I just thought it was a little bit funny that he was sneaking items from the box. It turns out it wasn’t Mark, it was Rhiannon! And Tulip cannot reach the table so I don’t know if her siblings got an ear of corn down for her or they started it & she finished it. Rhiannon has done much better this time with her stolen items. She left behind most of the core of the bell peppers that she ate on Wednesday. She left the corn cob from the ears of corn that she snacked on, on Thursday. And I found two peach pits that she must have eaten Wednesday night? I gate the dogs out of the kitchen when there’s no one upstairs but Mark doesn’t. My sweet chonky girl is at least snatching things that are good for her😂. If you haven’t visited Southern Pride Farm, you totally should! The very first night I chopped up the eggplant, onion, zucchini, and a squash that a friend gave me, sautéed it all up in olive oil & added some fresh cut pineapple. It was delicious!🍉🍆

Soooo while I’m trying to get the Rodalunatics to understand not EVERYONE loves the songs of their people, I have to ask y’all for a favor….effective immediately, please do not park out in front of my house if at all possible and please don’t park, stop, start or do anything in front of my neighbor’s house. Don’t turn around in her driveway, don’t wait in the street for someone pulling out of my driveway. Please, if we can help it, don’t even breathe in her direction. If you’re pulling into my driveway, pull over to one side so that anyone else coming and going (including Mark) has space to get around. I’m working on some temporary fixes (i.e. getting my SUVs out of the way while I’m planning on getting the driveway paved & widened. Hopefully this fall, but depending on the cost, maybe the spring. Yet another neighborhood expense I didn’t plan on.🤷♀️It’s virtually impossible to make everyone happy and there are some people who will never be happy. Let’s rise above, move on, and keep our great big pack happy, playing and best of all, tired. Rhiannon’s best friends, Charlee the Boxer and Bruno the French Bulldog are both Brachycephalic dogs. Simply put, they have shorter noses than most other dogs. More specifically, their skulls are shaped differently that can present challenges in breathing in situations of stress, exercise or heat. So I have to keep a closer eye on them and all the other dogs with that condition, that stay with me. These 3 have it worked out pretty well. Rhi will run all over playing with one while the other rests up.
