⚡ Energy level: can be high, but loves to snuggle
🚗 Travel well? Yes, but doesn't like to get in the car on her own
🧸 Favorite toy/activity: squeaky toys, stuffies to shred, balls, and loves to play fetch. Especially with her squeaky bone
🚶‍♀️ Leash trained? Working on staying on the left side and not zig zagging
🥅 Fence Required? No, but would be nice to get some energy out

Tora (or Tora the explorer as we've been calling her) is a 20 pound ball of love and energy. Her outgoing personality and cuddles instantly wins over everyone she meets.
She loves spending time outside with her foster siblings (human and canine) and is always up to play or to just cover you in kisses.
She does tend to bark when she first meets someone, but will quickly warm up and become your best friend (even quicker if you have treats).
Tora hasn't shown any signs of aggression with kids, dogs, food, toys. Her foster siblings will even pick her up and she is fine. She's really just a lover who is looking for a forever home to make her own.

We were asked to help this guy last year. He was found laying in a ditch and hit by a car. We never hesitated for a second to take him in. We named him Beau. He had a broken leg, broken pelvis, and a punctured lung.
Beau spent several nights in a trama center undergoing surgery and procedure after procedure. We spent about 15,000.00 and months of recovery. Once he was released for these injuries he was them treated for heartworms and all other vetting. If we were unable to say yes he would of been euthanized that night and we couldn’t have that. Yes he is a very blessed boy but he deserved a miracle.
Rescue’s don’t get government funding , we have to raise all monies to help these animals and because of you generosity he is living his best life with his foster family who couldn’t let him go.
These southern shelter’s don’t have the funding that the Northern shelters get and they depend on rescues to step up and help them with these high medical cases. We try our best to help where we can and again like a broken record, this is why it is important to donate to Paws in the Park.

Hello! My name is Murphy and I am a 2.5 year old Great Pyrenees/ Lab mix. I am super energetic and love to be outside; taking walks, chasing my fur brother around, and lounging in the sun are some of my favorite things! When I am inside I love to be with my humans and I love to have a bone to chew on! I love when new people come to my house, but I can get super excited and jump up! Don’t worry though I calm down right away!
I love to give kisses and I love snuggle time in the bed.

We have the most creative and caring volunteers. For those who have not heard of the House of Hope candles you are missing out.

Our lovely volunteers make these candles for us. I can 100 percent say that I am in love with them. They smell amazing and are super cute.

I am sure many of you know who this beautiful boy is! Every year we pick a Queen or King to start the walk and we have chosen “Oso”. He is the poster child of the dogs we try hard to save. Black dog saved from near the Mexico boarder. He had given up on life and was ready to die. We really didn’t know if he would make it through the night because he was so weak. Oso was very thin, heartworm positive, in need of eye surgery and of course all the other vetting to make him healthy. Today he is thriving and the kindest, the most loving dog you have ever met. He is heartworm negative, he is so very special and the best part is he has his own forever family. Just learned that he is a purebred English Labrador Retriever, I am not surprised at all. 🥰❤️❤️❤️ Please come out and meet him at PITP September 14th.
