March 3, 1963, my father and mother opened North Shore Animal Hospital. Today with a heavy heart I have to let all of you know that my mother and the remaining founder passed away. I am sure all of you have seen her at the clinic, she will be missed.

Just had a family stop by the clinic and ask if we wanted dog food and cat food. said yes as we can get it to where it is needed. Then they asked if I knew where they could leave, water, toilet paper and clothes, as they have been trying to find somewhere to donate it. This family took the day off work, drove 500 miles to bring this community needed items. Told them to leave with us and that we would get it to where it is needed. By the way clothes boxes are marked with what they are for, men, women, child, shoes, etc.

Day 13 still no electric here, photo is of the Jack Fuses on our pole, that are just waiting to get reconnected. We are open , limited services because of electric. No Phones, just stop by and see if we can help or direct you to someone

Well today is Friday, October 7th, and we still do not have electric. Still open doing what we can with our limited services due to the electric. If your baby needs help stop in we will determine if we can help or direct you where to go. Our technician gathers the information needed, takes photos if needed and we then text and call our doctor to get the treatment plan. If you find a displaced bring by to get scanned for a microchip. Yes we still have pets in our clinic due to their owners being displaced. If you pet is with us they are doing just.

Please note if we have NO ELECTRIC we have no phone service, we can not operate our computers so please be patient as we have to go pull you file to get your pets information. Just like we did before computers.

So just to let everyone know, we still do not have electric, but we are open, see pets, via tele-medicine. I get the information, take photos, and text to our doctor and talk to her to get a Treatment plan.

I have been here since the storm taking care of the pets who were left in our care because their owners had to leave. Just to let you know all are doing well and are safe.

Just to let everyone know, I am still staying at the clinic. We have water but waiting on the electric to be restored. We are here with limited service which can be done by taking photos and texting to our Doctor's, along with giving advice. Hopefully electric will be restored soon and we will be back to serve all of your Fur Babies needs.
Watch for our post when we will be back in full swing.
