It's been a happy and emotional weekend for me as
Sassy gaited her way to winners bitch and Best of Opposite s*x both yesterday and today earning 4 points towards her championship! 🏆Yay👏

Some time around November 15th my beautiful aspiring show dog Ramstein died in the care of the person I had him with for socialization, training and dog shows.
I found out on November 17th when someone sent me a picture of him deceased and I was asked to confirm that he was indeed my dog.
The picture is horribly sad as you can see his skeleton perfectly through his emaciated body.
I have not been allowed to retrieve his remains as I was told by the person who was housing him for training "we already got rid of him".
My attorney sent out a letter of demand for Ramstein's remains and it has since been ignored.
I may never get his remains back.
There is a reason she will not allow me to retrieve him.
but we do have his final picture.
And a picture speaks a thousand words
I can not go into further details at this time.
But as soon as I am able to, I will tell his tragic story

The "Victor" dog food recall for salmonella...
I've seen many veterinarians say this is not a WSAVA dog food...
In all my years with dogs even the 5 brands of WSAVA dog food have had recalls due to the same, SALMONELLA.
In the last year I've had 2 dogs have a problem with their p**p.
Because I feed raw, I assumed it was a bacteria but after several tests, culture, both dogs didn't have anything wrong and both went back to having normal p**p after a short amount of time..
I follow several wolf sanctuaries and I follow sled dog teams and most of the sled dog teams feed Victor. Because their performance brand is high in fat and high in protien. I prefer Diamond dog foods. When I fed my dogs all dog kibble Diamond always kept weight on all my high energy dogs without me having to feed them 12 cups per day each!
I had switched to pro plan once following the vets reccomended WSAVA dog food diets and I found myself feeding up to 2 more cups per day per dog and my dogs lost weight!
So 3 cups of diamond per day vs 5 cups of pro plan per day, same ratio 30/20 it didn't make sense why they would.loose weight eating more? And not just one dog dropped weight, they all did on pro plan!
I just know my dogs looked like s**t on pro.plan. it cost me more and feeding more of it put my dogs at a higher risk of bloating, carrying all that un digested kibble in their gut all day!
I still put kibble in their bowls for them to snack on all day but their main course will always be raw.
Bacteria is apparently a risk either way. And raw is just natural...
I'm so very excited to be planning this for early 2024!

My next planned breeding is planned for January.
All perspective new owners are required to be pre screened. A reservation for a puppy is required to be on the waiting list and all are non refundable.
Like most reputable breeders, we are not mass producing puppies.
Our dogs are selectively bred and our breedings have been carefully planned out. So things take awhile.
We also invest thousands of dollars in pre breeding veterinary work ups etc. Preparing for a breeding and then a litter.
Many issues can arise. A bitch can re absorb her litter or partial litter. An emergency c section can result. And puppies may not survive.
The other issue is, we can not guarantee color or s*x.
So like all other reputable breeders I know, I will not be refunding deposits. If you are reserving a male and no male is produced or A certain color, or there are complications resulting in not enough pups to fill the Reservation. Then the deposit is applied to the next litter.
Many breeders have waiting lists with deposits up to a year or two!
If you are interested in having one of our healthy, well bred dogs then it may be a wait..
If not there are plenty of mastiffs towards the mid west that are pretty cheap and definitely not like mine ❤️

I am planning a breeding with our huge fawn boy and our beautiful apricot girl around January.
There are not a lot of breeders of these beautiful dogs in this area so if you have been planning to get one that is bred for health, temperament, SIZE, type, soundness then unfortunately sometimes it can be a long wait! That's just how nature works!

Please share and please keep an eye out. Dogs can travel far! Especially if they have been picked up by someone! This is my friends dog. She dug under their fully fenced in yard and escaped!

So many people always ask me, " do you feed them the bone" yes!!! Each of my dogs gets 1 to 3 chicken leg quarters per feeding and they are fed out exactly like you see them in this bucket! Raw bones are soft and do not splinter. They are also highly digestible.
I only grind bones for very old dogs and puppies with baby teeth.
Bones help the gut muscles strengthen during digestion and help reduce the chances of GVD(torsion bloat) they are also calcium. They help clean teeth. And are good mind stimulation because the dogs enjoy laying down and chewing them.

Yesterday me and Goliath went to the woods. He loves splashing in the hose but is afraid to go into water. Today me and Salem hit the river trail. She on the other hand is not afraid to go in the water. The current was a little fast in that area and a bit deep so I didn't let her go far... I use the wondricide bug spray and there were no bugs around us!
