It's easy to see that these 9.5-year-old boys were very well loved in their previous home — the same home they had once romped around in as kittens.

Their surrender was truly heartbreaking. However, it proved just how much their owner loved them.

Sometimes, the best way to love our pets is to make those hard but necessary decisions. When Oreo and Beauty's elderly owner's health began to decline, there was concern about these boys receiving the attention and care they deserved.

We promised to find a family willing to pick up right where their previous owner left off.

The good news? These two are really, really easy to love. ❤

There's a good chance Oreo is actually part dog, but we'd need a DNA test to confirm it. He will flop right over for belly rubs the second he sees you're willing to give them to him. Yep, you read that... this cat loves belly rubs. He will just lay there on his side, kneading the floor with his paws, happy as can be. If he's not busy socializing, you'll likely find him snuggled right up next to Beauty.

🥰

Beauty is much more reserved than Oreo, so they balance each other out well. He's very nice boy who just needs a bit more time and space to open up. Beauty benefits greatly from having a confident and outgoing brother to take some of the social pressure off him. While he adjusts, he will treat you to all the slow blinks your heart desires. Slow blinks are, quite literally, his love language.

Oreo and Beauty have never lived with dogs, but have successfully lived with other cats.

Do you have room in your heart and home to give this sweet pair the second chance they deserve? Please email us at [email protected] and we can answer any questions you may have!

Paisley is one of the sweetest cats you'll ever meet, and while he may not be the most stable on his feet, the love he has to give measures far beyond his physical capabilities. ♥️

Paisley came in as a stray with an assortment of medical concerns, which we have worked through most of. This sweet, vocal and friendly fella immediately stole the hearts of the entire staff. He loves going for stroller rides, partaking in wobbly walks around the Adoption Center lobby, and attempting to lay still in any lap that is free!

We know that Paisley will make any house a home, but we do have a few wishes for this sweet boy. We are looking for a home where his people would be home often and where there aren’t many stairs. Do you think you could be the perfect forever for this dapper, affectionate guy? Please email [email protected] today and tell them Paisley sent you!

Princess Tigger was brought to us when her owner passed away. Initially we guessed this beautiful girl to be around 17 years of age, but when verifying her micro-chip we discovered that our Princess is nearly 21 years old! This is, by far, the oldest kitty we’ve ever had available for adoption—and we need your help! We are urgently looking to find her a home to get her out of the shelter, fast. Senior cats in a shelter environment are more susceptible to illness. As you can imagine Princess is confused and stressed—she lost her only home and her person. We spend time with her daily, petting her and giving her as much love as possible--- but nothing can replace the feeling of a real home.
Princess is on medication for a thyroid condition and arthritis. We’re searching for a home that is willing and able to provide the medical care needed to keep her happy and comfortable for the rest of her life. Edited to add: Princess would be best as the only cat- but seems fine with respectful dogs.

Adopting a senior animal is one of the most rewarding things you can do. While they may only be with you for a short time- the bond you develop is often very strong. When you know that you have a limited amount of days, weeks or months- you treasure the time you get to spend together. Each day is truly a blessing.

Help us save her life. Please share if you believe that Princess deserves a loving home as much as any other younger animal at our shelter.

Princess Tigger is available for adoption at the New Hampshire SPCA in Stratham, NH. www.nhspca.org
