When Coquito was surrendered to The Animal Haven his fur was so terribly overgrown and matted that he had trouble even seeing and urinating. His teeth were so rotted that eating was a problem. At The Animal Haven, Coquito received the veterinary care he needed. His coat was shaved all the way down and all but two of his teeth were removed, ending his pain and suffering. One of our volunteers adopted Coquito, and he is now living a wonderful life in a loving home, with people who can properly care for him. There are countless animals out there that need human help, and with your sustained support, we provide it. 🐾 NEW INTAKES - NORI, JIJI AND PONYO 🐾

😣 This little family was brought to us by a very involved police officer who had been helping citizens take care of them outside for a while. As you all know, all shelters are overflowing and finding a rescue is really hard, even for friendly cats.

❄️ Thankfully, we were able to help and they are now safe with us. Mama Nori is estimated to be around 1.5 years old and her boys Ponyo and Jiji are estimated to be 7 months old. We will let you calculate how young she was when she had them...

❤️ They are all super sweet and affectionate and they all have additional thumbs, as if they weren't already too cute!

🐾 NEW INTAKE - YUKI 🐾

Poor little Yuki was found by a good samaritan in the streets of New Haven, trapped in a box in this ice cold weather. ❄️

They brought him to us this afternoon and he is now decompressing in our isolation room until he can be seen by a vet. He is very stressed at the moment, but also very sweet and he let one of our employees remove the poopy mats he had on his back end. 🏥

💰 The basic care for a stray cat comes up to a minimum of 500$ (neuter, dewormer, exam, vaccines and other needed treatments).
