If it’s too hot outside for you, it’s too hot outside for our pets. If you can’t have them inside the house for some reason. Please make sure they have cool water to lower their temp. Toddler size pools or even sprinklers will help. We have a huge shop fan, with the sprinklers on, and a small pool set up. Just for when our dogs go out to use the bathroom. Please stay cool and check on your elderly/disabled neighbors. This heat wave is no joke! ~Honey Rose

Friendly reminder to all my families and anyone who has or is thinking about bringing home a puppy. PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY ARE UP TO DATE ON THEIR VACCINATIONS. It is Parvo season and it’s already starting with a bang. Lots of dogs are getting sick right now. If your dog is under 1 year old they are at the highest risk of contracting this deadly virus. Unfortunately, even vaccinated dogs with compromised immune systems are being affected. Compromised immune systems can simply mean they have parasites, so please deworm regularly. Please do your best to avoid dog parks this summer. If you do frequent them. Please bring your own water and dishes to avoid sharing cooties with sick dogs.

PSA: If you can’t walk barefoot in the street, neither can they. If you need to use the ac in your car, so do they. All living things need fresh water to live. Don’t forget they are wearing a fur coat when it’s 105 outside. I Always give my cockers and poodles a summer cut. Remember it grows back and will be just as pretty come fall. This adorable young man just became available again. I’ve been holding him for the last couple weeks for a family. They unfortunately just decided it’s not a good time for them. This amazing boy is looking for the right home. He is the son of Tinkerbell (standard poodle 45 #’s) and Gaston (American Cocker Spaniel 25 #’s). He is one of our first Maxi Cockapoo’s! And he is everything we dreamed of. The perfect mix of both breeds. He is absolutely brilliant, very receptive to commands and learning new things. He is eager to please and always ready to play. Check out our first litter of Maxi Cockapoo’s!❤️ We have one boy and one girl. Both puppies have super soft, shiny black coats. They give the best hugs! And have the sweetest temperaments. Training is a breeze thanks to their smart Standard Poodle Momma (Tinkerbell). Daddy (Gaston) gave them all the cocker spaniel goodies. They are eager to please, love to cuddle, playful, great with kids, and other animals. I could go on and on about these two love bugs. They really are the best of both worlds. They are expected to be between 35-40 pounds as adults. Puppies are currently 8 weeks old, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. Does anyone make special treats for their dogs? Yesterday was prep day for me. This is just some of what I made. Don’t mind the ones on the right. I accidentally melted them, trying to remove them from their tray. Oops! As a freezing base, I like to use goat colustrum. You can buy it in powder, premixed, or fresh. It’s great for growing puppies and adults as well. Or I use a no salt added beef or chicken broth.

The orange treats are a blended mix of broth, carrots, probiotics, vitamin c(immune support), and left over chicken from dinner. (Make sure to wash any seasoning off. Too much salt is not good for them.) Other great choices are bell peppers, cucumbers, etc. and any meat you may have that’s freezer burnt or left over from dinner.

The messy looking ones on the right are a mix of goat colustrum, immune support, daily vitamin, dewormer, peanut butter, and Purina Sport 30/20 dog food. (The best food by the way)This is a great way to administer medications if you have a difficult pup.

The middle row is premade puppy food. It contains Purina sport 30/20 dog food and goat colustrum. I like having them made in individual servings. That way every morning I can pop them out on a tray and let them thaw/or warm them up for our hungry little monsters.

My favorite age. They have the sweetest little faces, adorable growls, and are starting to explore outside the puppy pen. They are about 3 weeks old now. They will be recieving their first Neopar (earliest Parvo prevention) vaccine tomorrow.

It’s that time again! Bell and Gaston had 3 girls and 3 boys! We have different shades of chocolate and some of the most beautiful Merle’s I’ve ever seen. They are two weeks old now. They will be fully vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. These babies are raised inside my home with my family, using the puppy culture method. We will begin litter training in a few days. Don’t miss out on these amazing puppies! Taking deposits now.

What are you dogs favorite treats? Did you know watermelon and carrots are great healthy options? They are wonderful fresh alternatives to packaged treats. Something I like to do, is freeze them. If you have a teething puppy, or you just want to offer your dogs a cool treat in summer/after a good workout. This works great.

Not all fruits and veggies are safe for your dogs. Please do your research, or ask your vet before trying out new foods. Watermelon should be a “treat” on occasion.
