ATTENTION: This Saturday is our opening day. We expect to have 1500-2000 People flow throughout the day. This is also the same day as the Yellowstone Trail Festival/ Starke County Street Freaks car show. This will be a big event for all of us. Please use the designated parking areas mapped below.

Please note the road closure and enter on correct streets for parking.

All of these Pets are at the Starke County Humane Society ~ If you are interested in any of our pets or have questions, please call us at 574-896-5060. All strays are held for three business days before going up for adoption. Not all animals may be available when their photo is posted. Do you recognize these two dogs? They were found in Pulaski County near Kerstings. They are being held by the finder and are not at SCHS. Please contact us with any information.

Athena and Hera are American Bulldog mix sisters. They are NOT bonded and will be adopted out separately. Both are spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.
While they both excel at making goofy faces, they sit in a very reserved manner befitting a statue. They keep clean kennels, play gently with their toys and have been getting along with other dogs at the shelter. They are not good with cats.
They both know some basic commands and listen well. If you have any questions or would like to adopt, please call us at 574-896-5060.

She is so friendly and well mannered! She is dog selective, so a meet and greet is required. She knows some commands and learns quickly.

He is a 3 year old neutered, friendly boy that is current on vaccinations and is microchipped. He does not like dominant dogs and isn't fond of cats. He listens well and knows some commands. He plays gently with his toys.
