With Christmas just around the corner, these precious little ones, Gigi and Shadow, both a year old, just received a very special, early Christmas gift, a December vet visit for spays. Both are starting life on the right note, as this one procedure will help to keep them healthy and happy and extend their lives with their loving families 3-5 years, a special gift that will keep on giving long after this holiday season. It is never too late to arrange for an important spay or neuter for your pet to avoid very serious, costly to treat cancers, pyometra and other injuries.

Sweet Mocha came into her family’s life as a pup four years ago, and her presence has brought such great joy and love to her family. Mocha keeps them in pretty good shape, too, as she gets them up and about to help them seize each day. When a cyst was found on Mocha’s tail, arrangements were quickly made for a vet visit, and what a surprise venture it was when Mocha realized she was at the vet’s office and not the park. The surgery went well, and Friends is pleased to report that Mocha’s tail wagging is done with greater ease once again.

Peabody has been living the good life with a very devoted mom who opened her heart and home to him as a kitten 13 years ago. There for each other in special ways since that time, Peabody and his mom have both lucked out big time. Diagnosed with diabetes a while back, Peabody recently needed a vet visit so that his meds could be regulated. Back home, enjoying life and all its comforts once again, despite his photo frown, this coming holiday season is sure to be a very merry one.

Since his adoption as a pup, these last nine years have been the best for Gizmo and his devoted mom. Car rides and cuddles have helped to brighten their days together. A recent car ride required a detour when Gizmo displayed difficulty breathing. With an overnight emergency hospital stay, treasured Gizmo was diagnosed and treated for a heart condition. Back home, his mom reports that she is, “determined more than ever, to fill his life with fun and happiness each and every day.”

Smidget’s life made a big turnaround after she was adopted as a four week old feral. That was 17 years ago, and as one can see, life has been as good as it gets for this precious one. Smidget wasn’t acting herself recently and her concerned mom arranged for an important vet visit where she was tested for both thyroid and diabetes. Friends is pleased to report that with fluids and meds, Smidget is on the road to recovery and back to leading the good life, because of a family that’s been there for her in every way over the years.

Adopted as a pup 11 years ago, sweet Dolce has so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. When a mass was found on Dolce’s stomach a few weeks ago, without hesitation, arrangements were made for an immediate vet visit. Costly surgery was successful, and one thing Friends knows for sure is that this sweet one’s recovery will be a speedy one, as Dolce has the love and commitment of a mom and dad who are devoted to her well-being no matter what.

Silky has lucked out big time in both life and love over the years. His first owner opened her heart and home to him when she took him in as a stray kitten and shared her life and love with him for eight years. Shortly after his mom’s death, a second mom stepped up to give precious Silky a second chance at life and love. Now 15, this lucky guy’s life has been enriched by some very special angels, making sure that his every need has been met. Silky needed an important vet visit a short time ago for dental work and the removal of a cyst. All went well for Silky, a special guy who’s had two very special people in his life.

Adopted as a pup, these last 12 years have been the best for both Hairy and his dad. Great pals, their time spent together has enriched both their lives. No one has to be reminded about how challenging these times have been, and living on a fixed income has only compounded the challenges of getting by. Despite these times, it didn’t dissuade Hairy’s dad from being there for him and arranging an important vet visit when Hairy had difficulty chewing. It’s all about priorities, and Hairy’s good health was first and foremost. That costly vet visit made all the difference in Hairy’s world, as he left the vet with 11 less teeth, but no less love for a very special dad.

Handsome Prince charmed his way into his dad’s heart and home as a kitten two years ago, and their lives together since that time have been richer for it. Their daily routine had a brief detour a few weeks ago when Prince had started vomiting, unable to keep even his favorite treats down. Thankfully, an immediate vet visit was made to find out why. Friends is pleased to report that with important tests and meds, the answers were found, reassuring Prince’s dad that, with his love and care, his precious Prince will be with him for the long haul.

All is not lost for sweet, 10 year old Charlie since his owner’s passing about a month ago. Adjustments to new surroundings take time, and his new mom has been there to accommodate Charlie’s every need. Out of the blue, Charlie had stopped eating recently, and his new guardian quickly made vet arrangements to find out why. Friends is pleased to report that with costly tests, meds and fluids, Charlie has found his appetite again because of a new mom who treasures his presence in her life as well. Wishing them both many happy, healthy years together.
