Gingerbread is a favorite dessert for a lot of people. However, 8 1/2 year old Gingerbread is not only sweet, but a special part of her mom’s life since her adoption seven years ago. She’s earned a special place in her mom’s heart, so it’s no wonder that her mom was determined to keep her happy and healthy by scheduling her yearly exam, including important inoculations. Gingerbread has always been sensitive to strangers, so to make life easier for everyone, she required anesthesia. One lucky mom who enjoys the pleasure and enjoyment of having this special treat in her life every day.

The moment Cali came into her mom’s life as an eight month old pup, both lives changed for the better. That was 11 years ago, and their time together since then has helped to enrich each other’s days big time. Bound together like glue, enjoying timely moments as simple as hanging out on the couch, their lives have been enhanced by each other’s presence. Their first separation occurred a few weeks ago, after Cali had difficulty urinating. All ended well! A costly vet visit, involving an overnight stay and surgery, helped to make their lives complete once again.

Adopted as a kitten, three year old Freyja wasn’t the happiest of kitties a few weeks ago, after being told a vet visit was needed to make her feel better again. Poor Freyja had stopped eating, and her concerned family wanted to find out why. An important vet visit was made, where, with expert vet care, it was found that their Freyja had a large hairball blockage in her intestine. After costly, lifesaving surgery, both Freyja and her loving family are feeling, oh, so much better again, thanks to their willingness to do whatever it takes to keep their precious one in their lives.

Sometimes, even a routine exam for a beloved pet can become a challenge. Spud came into his loving family’s life as a rescued pup five years ago, and his presence since that time has made all the difference in both their worlds. Spud’s family recently had some personal financial challenges because of an accident and became concerned for Spud’s welfare, knowing he was due for his yearly exam and inoculations at the vet. Life is all about priorities. An arranged yearly exam went well, and life again is good for Spud and his very special family.

Pancake came into her mom’s life as an eight month old stray. Named after her mom’s favorite food, Pancake’s tender, sweet nature wrapped her paws around her mom’s heart in an instant. Now ten and an important family member, her mom became concerned when her Pancake displayed trouble having bowel movements. Without hesitation, an important vet visit was made where, with great vet care, Pancake’s bowel issues were resolved. “Oh, what a relief it was” for not only Pancake, but her special mom, who so values her presence in her life.

Life has been the best for Luna since adopted as a pup, but what makes her life so special is that her presence in her mom and dad’s life has helped to enrich theirs, too. Special moments and special times together these last 14 years have made a difference in both their worlds. An important separation was needed for them when a mass was discovered on Luna’s back leg. Costly surgery removed the mass to help make their lives whole again. Her mom reports, “Luna recovered well, and she is very happy now, capable of walking around without pain.” All so lucky at life and love.

Found as a stray kitten three years ago, Milo, right now, is not too fond of the word vet. Long story short, he has reason to feel that way after initially having to be brought to an emergency vet for a urinary blockage. No sooner treated for this condition than poor Milo developed pancreatitis. It took a three day vet stay with expert, first class, costly vet treatment to save his life. Once the trauma of Milo’s experience wears off, he’ll eventually realize it was all to make his life whole again, thanks to a devoted mom who treasures his presence in her life and has been there for him when it counts.

Six year old Rory is so lucky to have such a special mom in her life, since adopted from a shelter four years ago. Her mom describes Rory as, “not only my service dog, but a part of my heart.” This statement says so much about the important role Rory and her mom play in each other’s life, a devoted duo, joined at the hip, where both lives revolve around each other’s presence. A serious separation occurred when a cyst was found on Rory’s hip. Surgery was successful, helping this special twosome enjoy the pleasure of each other’s company once again.
