Our goal each year is the have a bull competitive enough to be on the first page of the IBEP catalog. This year our highest sale indexing bull is lot 62. With an index of 84.3 (just 0.7 off of the two leaders!) he falls 4th in the sale order.

His sire was our pick at the 85th IBEP bull sale. This bull shows generations of performance tested success that can translate to $$ on your farm.

Don’t let his BW scare you! We are striving for the best of both worlds, unassisted calves that are large enough to thrive from the moment they hit the ground.

We are entering a pretty cool bred heifer to the Springville Feeder Auction Cow and Heifer Sale on Saturday before the IBEP Bull Sale.

Hopefully we can snag a picture of her before she goes!

We have beef for sale on upcoming butcher appointments! We have 1 and a 1/2 available for an appointments on October 25th. Let me know if you are interested, first come first serve. Selling as a whole, half, or can split it in quarters. Plan ahead now and stock up! This is a tremendous deal to get a variety of cuts and it saves you money in the long run. Of 62 bulls performance tested in the 2022 Summer Test, 32 will be offered on October 15, 2022 in the 90th IBEP PT Bull Sale.

Bulls are scheduled to be videoed on Sept. 27.

Sale catalogs will be available at the IBEP Test Station by Sept. 30.

Bulls are available for viewing at the IBEP Test Station, located on the Feldun Purdue Ag Center, at any time up until Sale day and then onsite at the Springville Feeder Auction.

The judges did a great job at the Indiana State Fair Swine show making it a memorable experience for all! A line from Dr. Hoge’s champion drive speech stuck with me. Nights in the barn can feel like they are dragging on but the memories from this extra one-on-one time with our kids will last a lifetime.

We will be consigning two heifers to the Northern Indiana Angus Sale on April 3rd in Logansport, IN. Both heifers are out of donor cows. Check out lots 26 and 27!

Lot 26 is an open ET heifer that we like really well! We have some full flush sisters already and they are too good not to offer one to the public!

Lot 27 is one we normally wouldn’t be selling but she is set to calve outside our window. Our loss is your gain! Sells safe to a Connealy Emerald son with tremendous calving ease.

We hope to snag some pictures later this week.
