It always feels great to have your flock all the more ready for winter with a new roofed run to replace a smaller & weaker one. This install was made to connect up to an existing coop in Grand Rapids. It worked out great!

Today was a beautiful day for a delivery to Portage, MI, with the set up of a large coop and run system for a family getting into chickens. They have a great adventure ahead!

Gotland Coops hit another one out of the ball park. Vroooommm! Even Wiley Coyote can't get in these with his cartoon ACME laser rifIe. The only hungry beast that will take these down is an adult bear. If you're in Michigan, buy your hutches and coops from Gotland Chicken Coops .

I delivered another rabbit hutch today to a customer to go along with one she had made last year. This customer has been doing some cool stuff with rabbits, gardening, and all around homesteading and self-reliance. This rabbit hutch has 14 gauge 1/2”x1” floor mesh, which is super robust and will last! Each stall is 2’ wide and 42” deep for easy placement with room to spare of the rabbit nester boxes, which also come with it.

We had a nice install last week for a smaller backyard flock. I love seeing the variety of layouts that are possible to work into each flocks needs and customers space for them. I’m still building to order through the summer for anyone still getting started on a new flock or wanting to upgrade from smaller or older coop systems.

I love it when ordinances change to allow for more self-reliance and backyard chicken fun! It’s been great to see several cities change in the recent years.

City officials noted that residents already have been keeping multiple chickens in violation of the previous ordinance.

When looking at chicken coop designs and quality, it’s always good to plan for the “worst weather” possibilities and know how it will hold up or perform. No shoveling required to access the eggs, food, or adding shavings in the worst weather is always a win! Even with 18” plus of snow. No door jams to clear or lids to unfreeze or clean to access eggs.
