Our mission is to find permanent, loving, "forever" homes for homeless cats and dogs in the North Myrtle Beach area, as well as to provide spay/neuter clinics and education about pet care and the importance of spaying/neutering your pets. Henrietta's story is one of heartbreak and resilience. Found as a stray, her exhausted body looked as though she had been cast aside after bearing countless litters. At 9 years old, she’s endured a life of hardship, her spirit worn down by years of being treated as nothing more than a breeding tool.

But now, we have a chance to give Henrietta the love and care she’s always deserved. Since coming to us, Henrietta's days have been filled with compassion, and her sad eyes have begun to shine once more. This brave girl even handled her spay surgery like a champ, freeing her from the cycle of endless litters and narrowly escaping a potentially life-threatening pyometra.

Now, Henrietta faces her next big challenge: overcoming heartworm disease. Murray Law Group, LLC has generously sponsored a portion of her treatment, but we still need to raise $470 for the remaining cost, and we need your help.

Animals will be held for five days to allow an owner time to reclaim them. Wild cats; vicious dogs imposing a safety threat to shelter workers or visitors; badly injured, sick, or suffering animals requiring extensive treatment; and animals with highly contagious or fatal diseases are exempt from the five day impoundment, however. After the hold period, pending medical and behavioral assessment, animals may be available for adoption. All adoptions are on a first come - first serve basis. Chase joined our team in July 2023 and has been waiting in the dugout for his chance to shine. This 7-year-old trooper has had a tough journey to the big leagues. He was kept outside on a chain, arriving with his ears covered in open wounds and looking too skinny. Despite his rough past, Chase is determined to hit a home run in the game of love.

Despite Diamond’s unbelievably friendly nature and endless capacity for love, we've noticed Diamond becoming increasingly depressed in the shelter. This sweet girl has been with us since November, after being found as a stray.
