Today is Miss Nova's 2nd birthday! Birthdays are special so we celebrate with pupcakes from Doxies 2 Danes and they're always a hit!
Sometimes we decide it's ok to have some quieter playtime (yay for me 😂)!
One of the biggest compliments I can get is repeat clients! Even better? When they tell me that their pup got so excited when they turned down my street or when they saw me and the permanent residents! This girl wasted no time getting down to business when she came back today!
When you don't know how to tell you're friend you think they need a bath! 😂
Canine grooming can actually mean many things depending on the dogs and the situation. Licking can release endorphins for both the licker and the receiver helping with calming and lowering anxiety. In this particular case, Baxter is a very empathetic and intuitive boy displaying a behavior that isn't common for him and Nova is our current overnight friend. We had some excitement earlier tonight with a loose dog coming into our backyard when I had all 3 pups out to go potty (all of them on leashes). Baxter may have picked up on some added anxiety and started grooming her to help her relax, and since Nova immediately calmed down and went to sleep this is very likely the case. Licking can can mean a few different things so it's important to consider the situation and pups involved as it can be something sweet or it could be a sign of something serious.
I love when I have repeat boarders stay! This guy was my first client when I started out I always love when he comes to stay!
Had a great weekend hanging out with this sweet guy! He took one last opportunity to yell at the big(ger) dogs while they played floor is lava! 😂
We take playtime seriously!
Important conversations between the permanent residents, the ones going home tonight, and the new guys! 🤣
