I've been so busy I haven't always been posting. Meet slinky! This cute will be here for 10 days. Originally mom had me going to the house, but after our meet snd greet mom said if I wanted to bring her home I could. Took her a night early as it works better with our schedules.

We miss Mango already . He had a rough stay. As a vet tech I gi e leave of mind being able to treat any silents or deal with emergencies. Mango started vomiting his last day at 4am. He has severe anxiety due to thunderstorms so his stay with us all last week proved to be too much. I brought him to work and after an exam gave him an anti-emetic, an Injection to stop the vomiting. It helped but then thunder scared him so bad he tore his nail in the kennel. His parents were super understanding and appreciative of the care I was able to give. So much so when I called my husband to leave work to pick him up so he could go home with him and he be more comfortable.

This 100lb intact bully has stolen my husbands heart. Mango is my IDEAL dog and my husband said he was "ugly". Well, now my husband says otherwise haha. Mango was tied outside a casino when his owners found him. They said everyone kept passing him by because they were afraid. He is the biggest rush and I'm so glad his owners rescued him. He has anxiety but he did phenomenal his first 5 day stay with us. I never would've known. His owners took this as a sign and rebooked a 9 day away almost immediately after. Tgis week we have thunderstorms and I've given Mango his h**p chews and his thundershirt but seems my husband holding his hand has helped the most

I have three perfect boarders for the week. My life has been hectic to say the least. My oldest daughters biological father committed su***de a month ago and this has been a whirlwind. I'm grateful for my 3 jobs: vet tech, swim instructor, and pet sitter. Diesels a great client and by far a favorite. He is an English golden retriever. We have an English lab staying with us and they made my life so wonderful. Such good temperaments. I analyze personalities before I take on multiple pets. I didn't even have to meet diesel to know he was perfect. In 3 Weeks well also watch his lab sister. This is why I can board multiple pets. I'm very experienced

I'm very content with my dog and 2 boarders sleeping with me tonight. I could get used to this every night. Sad that Charlie leaves in 2 nights but we get a new boarder when she leaves. There's always pets!

I joke with dad about hiw ahell never want to go home or how when she comes here ahe parties like she's on vacation bc she either cuddles me non stop or she Plays with the kids. My boarder jasmine will be fostered for a bit. Her mom has to deal with some family issues and rather than give her to a new fsmily or even adopt her to us I told mom that we will watch her until she needs. This way the owner can take care of her elderly parents without any added stress including a financial obligation to board. For some, they may not be willing to risk that financial gain, but, for me, I just want to help people. Sounds cheesy but it's true. Int his situation, jasmine is trained, very well behaved, and gets along with every single boarder that we've had plus our cats, other dog, and kids so it's an easy accommodation. I couldn't do this for every pet but I also have a history with the owner that isn't much but means something to mean. She's an amazing woman who went through so much trauma losing all her pets and her husband in a house fire prior to moving to Florida. She is an amazing person with a good soul and loves this dog SO MUCH so least I can do is give her the best interim home and if needed a forever home but for now she can stay her as long as she needs.

This weekend I have 2 regulars for dog walking twice a day, my vet patient for injections every morning, plus 2 boarders!!!! Very busy and a good distraction. Next weekend I'll have my favorite vet patient staying to board and cannot wait.

Meet rocko. Rocko has FIP, feline infectious peritonitis, which is as you read contagious to other cats and also fatal. It used to have a terrible prognosis but now there's an experimental antiviral injection. I'm happy to be a part of this. Every morning for the next 2.5 months I'll be giving rocko his Injections. Hopefully I'm 2 weeks his numbers improve!!!!

I've been forgetting to post my regulars and have been very busy. We unfortunately lost our one cat elsa Sunday. She passed away unexpectedly and very suddenly and it was traumatic. But one of our sweetest boarders is here for 2 days and her disposition will be therapeutic for us as we grieve.

Ever see a munchkin Scottish fold?! Neither have I. Meet chance! Chance came in for a routine neuter but thanks to our presurgical diagnostics we were able to avoid using anesthetics thst would have been harmful. Apparently chance cannot tolerate certain meds whoch we would not have known without an ecg. With a consult we were able to get the appropriate cardiac pre-meds to be able to neuter this adorable furbaby

Sometimes proper care for patients is not possible. Luckily I work for a vet that provides options. Although not ideal, we were able to do a local mass removal for this 14 year old lab/goldendoodle mix. This is the sweetest dog I've ever met. She tolerated everything so well and we are happy to be able to treat her rather than not. We work hard to provide treatment plans to benefit patient snd client alike in situations that warrant

Meet polo,a blocked kitty we daw on emergency Saturday. This cat has been blocked before which can be fatal for male cats. This needs treatment immediately. We were happy to be able to treat him Saturday, avoiding emergency care which can be expensive. Also glad to provide topical pain relief which as you can see helped polish have some relief prior to his procedure
