Leon is still looking for a new home.

Leon is in a guardianship program!

He’s a great pup but needs someone who can spend more time with him to bond and play! Leon is a 2.5 year old Tibetan mastiff and is FREE to the right home!

You will be paid an incentive to keep Leon after 6 months of guardianship as well as receive payments when Leon is studded out . This is not a guardianship through me, I am currently Leon’s guardian until he finds a more fitting home.

I’m half joking— people really do say this kind of thing to breeders all the time. Sometimes, they are right. Sometimes, they are wrong! Ethical dog breeding preserves our precious purebred breeds and is the only way to get a dog you truly know everything about before finding out the hard way that life isn’t cupcakes and rainbows. Sadly, those dogs were put in a shelter because of breeders that are not temperament testing their dogs. Another issue “backyard breeders” have caused is breeding dogs without health testing. If it ain’t OFA or PENNHIP IT’S NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!!!!!!! I love and support adopting animals when it is right for the family. Not everyone wants to skip the puppy stage. Maybe they want to ensure the dog is fed and cared for properly throughout its whole life! Diets lacking in nutrients and all kinds of other things can be harmful to dog breeds that need bone and joint support… Abuse can cause aggression and not everyone wants to risk that either, the truth is you know nothing about that dog and nothing it’s been through. Sometimes people have the open availability to retrain a dog and sometimes they don’t! Don’t judge guys— we are all just human. You are not any better than I am just because you’re not a dog breeder. That would definitely be ridiculous.
