Thanks to our amazing equine vet for donating the casting material to make the new “saddle” addition to his wheelchair, and his exotics vet for fixing the abscesses on his front paws, Chi-Chi— our paralyzed bunny—is doing AMAZING using hjs back legs! GO Chi-Chi GO!
Dinner time for the piggies!!!
Archie is amazing! He no longer has to wear shorts because his wounds are almost totally healed—though I think he misses his snazzy shorts!
Turns out he loves playing with the dogs!

His funny, goofy personality has come out…we were worried that the dogs were chasing him… turns out he’s the instigator! 🤣🤣🤣
Hi, I’m “Professor Peppercorn” but people call me Pepper. I am 3 months old and my old owner left me on the sidewalk in Manhattan. At first I thought we were going for an adventure, but they never came back. I couldn’t find food or water and I was dying of starvation and dehydration until a nice person found me and brought me to the shelter. I was in the hospital for a while, but I still I wasn’t doing well in the shelter, so I came to Blue Barn…I am feeling SO much better and have gained a lot of weight and met a lot of new friends! I am a super sweet boy and love to hop in your lap and hang out, and then maybe explore a bit, but I always love coming back to check in with my person. I use my litter box every time, and try to keep my cage clean—I don’t want my people to have to work too hard to keep me. Will someone adopt me and be my forever home, please??🙏🏼.
Update on the “weather team”! They are 5.5 weeks old now! They will be ready for their new home in a couple of weeks!! I can’t believe how quickly it’s gone by! There were some ups and downs along the way, but they are healthy and happy and thriving and looking for their forever home!! 😻
10 of our 12 surprise surrender Pekin ducklings have found their new forever home on Tilly Foster Farm! We are so thrilled! Thank you so much for opening your farm to give them a great home!! (2 of them “Mickey” and “Minnie” are staying at Blue Barn Sanctuary as they have some skeletal changes from their Niacin deficiency when they got here, but they are happy and doing well too!)
Ummm…I guess Milo is very happy to have a friend…🤣🤣🤣
Harry— a senior permanent resident piggie— has Rye neck from an untreated inner ear infection and is left with a head tilt and nystagmus (when the eyes move side to side uncontrollably) which makes him dizzy and disoriented and can only make circles to the left… now that his ear infection has been treated, he is getting physical therapy to help him get to where he wants to go (As in—not tiny circles to the left)!! Good job Harry! Thank you Justine for doing such a great job taking care of him!
Milo, Mickey and Minnie are finally ready to join the rest of the flock!
I was worried that my adult Pekings would hurt the ducklings…. Umm, I guess I should’ve been worried about them 😂
