Hello, my name is Shannon and I created Hissy Sits in order to provide quality care and peace of mind to pet owners with exotic pets!
Reptiles and fish require some careful special care, and not many pet sitters are up to the challenge to confidently provide for those pets. I have personally and professionally been working with reptiles and fish for over a decade, and would like to extend my experience and services to those who are hesitant to allow family, friends, or general pet sitters to care for their scaly family members.
I have heard too many horror stories about exotic pets being trusted to unfamiliar caretakers, leading to unintentional disasters, sometimes resulting in the loss of those pets.
It is difficult to find pet sitters who will care for exotic pets, not only because many sitters are unfamiliar with their care, but also because most pet sitting apps and sites don't allow pet sitters to offer care to any animals other than dogs and cats. And those apps and sites don't allow pet owners to request that care.
I aim to provide peace of mind that your scaly family members are in great, reliable, capable hands!
