To all our customers,

Right now we are going through some changes. Within the past 6 months we lost 2 groomers and will be losing our part time employee in the next few months as she is graduating college. Soon it will be just Meg and me. In addition I have recently broke my toe making impossible to groom many of the large dogs. We have been having to push out our regularly scheduled clients further than we would like to. With so much going on right now we do have to cut back and slow down. We are a small business and can only do so many dogs while maintaining the quality and care you deserve. Thank you for being patient and understanding during these changes!

Merry Christmas from all of us here at Just For Dogs. Thank you for everyone’s patience during this crazy time of year, we really appreciate it. We also want to thank everyone for all of the generous gifts and goodies you brought us in the past few weeks. As well as the adorable Christmas cards.❤️🎄

A note from Megan at Just For Dogs - From now until December 21st (name will be drawn in time for Christmas!) we will be raising money for a cause near and dear to me, Potcakes. What exactly is a Potcake? Potcake is the island name for the indigenous dogs of the Turks and Caicos Islands. It is a Bahamian term, derived from the hard cake of rice at the bottom of the dinner pot, which they were traditionally fed. Hence, Potcake. Today they come in all colors, coat lengths, shapes, and sizes.
Over the past few years my husband and I have spent time on the Island of Grand Turk learning about the community and all if its beautiful creatures. Wild dogs roam freely throughout the island and the people of Grand Turk do what they can to care for these animals. Many locals take Potcakes into their homes and adopt/care for them but not all the pups are so lucky. A critical key to keeping the Potcake population under control are Spay and Neuter clinics. These clinics are put on by The Turks and Caicos Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TCSPCA) and are funded by fundraisers and donations. Because this is such a small island, they must fly out doctors, volunteers and supplies to run these important clinics. The next clinic in Grand Turk will be held in early 2024 and all the proceeds from this fundraiser will go to this cause.
Here at Just For Dogs we will be raffling off an incredible camping gear package filled with tons of great camping items worth over $850. All these items are donated, so every dollar we raise will go directly to the cause. Tickets will be available at our shop during normal business hours. If you cannot make it to the shop but would like to donate, please get in touch with me and I will make arrangements to get you entered into the raffle!
