Training is almost over but never complete.

Anyone who has been following Charlie’s journey knows this is a big deal! Yes Charlie has a muzzle on for the safety of my old girl. Minus one time when he went for the Shepherd herding nip he has done great. Next is the cats!!! Hopefully within next meet or 2 Charlie can lose the headgear. Stay tuned.

Little fun in the snow

Show me a dog how to do this for weeks he didn't respond well so I get it slowly this morning he decided to show me he knew how to do it and we continued another feat on the Charlie project!!!!

Testing Charlie when I'm not around. Love to see him play with another big dog. He gets a little rough as he's a shepherd but if you watch all the times that he lays down is showing my boy Willie that he's in it for fun. Still plenty of work to be done as Charlie still tries to run the yard but we still have a month and a half left this boy will be great!

Keeping the train in the 20 minutes for five times a day and brain moving in this cold. Quick session.

Wanted to see how Charlie would respond to someone else coming to let him out and work him. Nice to see him respond. Exactly what we want.

As I sit here listening to Charlie bark his head off and acting like a puppy again shows my 3 month method is very effective. When it comes to anxious or dogs with separation issues.

Month one
The toughest month for the dog, is where we separate the dog from the household. Minimal contact. Although it's minimal contact there is Alot of play and love being sent to dog. What this process does is resets your dog back to a puppy state of mind.
Example, Charlie has not barked all month, now he's barking constant, taking his blankets out of kennel etc.. he's 2 acting like he's 6 months. Exactly what I want!!!

Month 2
This is the month where we start minor puppy training and start introducing to people and other animals. This is the month we set the dog up for failure. Not that it's a failure but we need to find triggers etc...This is a very important month where your dog learns his commands and should be responding in a timely fashion.

Month 3
This is the point where your pup should feel confident and comfortable with being put in situations that normally would have caused stress or panic.

Last 2 weeks
The hardest part of training
TRAINING THE OWNER.
This is difficult as there is a transition of command. The dog will respond but know they will test there limits. After 30 days in home the transition will be done unless the guidance I give is not followed through.
