We are so excited to welcome our newest DVM to the Pack! Dr. Lia Gross is joining the Deer Creek Animal Hospital team in Phoenix, AZ, though she is originally from New Mexico! Dr, Gross graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing in a primary care veterinary setting for over 10 years. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband Jordan and their three dogs - Kylee, Dante, and Chaos.

With the extreme heat expected this week please let us know if you will be keeping your pup home from daycare. We will do our best to keep them as cool as possible with lots of ice cold water, kiddie pools in the yards and rotations inside with the AC. Please keep in mind they are outside all day and we will do our best to get them in and keep them cool but I can’t guarantee every dog a run in the AC. If you still plan to send them, consider signing them up for some swim time in the big pool to help keep them cool and comfortable. Thank you for understanding!

Due to the events of the F3 tornado that hit the Valley View & Sanger, TX area, the Animal Hospital on Milam Road's wonderful staff has gone out into the community & rescued many fur babies and brought them back into the clinic for shelter and care.

There are many pups that they have under their care as well as that have needed treatment. One of their lovely guests is named Willow & was found on the side of the road by a wonderful human & she has a broken leg & pelvis that needs an important extensive surgery! Funds will go towards Willow's surgery, vaccinations, medications, & other treated injuries! They also have some pups that have found their owners but will be staying at the clinic at no cost due to their homes being destroyed or them being hospitalized themselves that funds will go towards.

Leviathan brings more than 20 years of finance, mergers & acquisitions, strategy, digital and retail services experience.

Prior to Destination Pet, Leviathan served as the Chief Financial Officer at Zulily, a leading e-commerce company within Qurate Retail, Inc. (NASDAQ: QRTEA). In that position, he was responsible for the finance function and the transformation efforts for Zulily and led it to a successful sale. Prior to that, Leviathan was the CFO at Qdoba Mexican Eats, Taco Bell and served as an Audit Committee Board Member for Smart & Final, where he helped lead a successful sale to Grupo Comercial Chedraui (BMV: CHDRAUI).
