A huge congratulations 🎉 to students Minx and handler Trish for achieving their NACSW NW2 today in Maryland. They got two pronounced along with first place overall wow!

They’ve been working very hard Taking every opportunity possible to train and volunteer. I am so happy for them and beyond proud of how far they’ve come.

Just in time for Minx’s 10th birthday on 2/20.

Check out Drax from super sniffing Sundays working this corner space with 2 hides. The best thing to do in a small space like this and you have a big dog allow them to work it give them as much space as possible. Drax nailed it!Awesome job team! 🐾🤩🐾.

These Beginner Scent Work teams Maverick, Luna, Willow and Clifford are having so much fun figuring out odor pays and some are working through their fears of different textures/obstacles in order to get to source on this day it was Birch and others already have lots of experience with different obstacles and textures. Doing these things help build confidence in our dogs while having fun!

Miss Molly did not want to go up the ramp I don’t want to bore you with that whole video but this was the second time out and I have the ramp elevated. This is her nemesis she will not go up the ramp to get in the van. So we’re helping her get over the fear of this on her own to build confidence.I put high value stinky treats paired with odor (Birch) at the top and made it so she has to go up that ramp in order to get the food and turn around and come down. I’m so proud of her for working through this puzzle. 🥰

Here’s a video of Miss Sizzle figuring out how to get to the odor paired with high value treats. I know it’s a long video about two minutes or so, but watching her work this through it and not allowing her handler to be a part of it and that she needs to do it on her own. It’s a beautiful thing to watch when they figure it out. I have a ramp on one side and then the A-frame I put flat on the other so she has to walk over one or the other to get to the prize in the middle. This is part of my confidence building cross training class at Niagara K9. Many of my students are not interested in competing in Nosework they just want to have fun with their dogs while building confidence in them and working as a team.. So proud of you Sizzle 🐾💕
