When people tell me dying a dogs hair is abuse. The abuse in question 🤣🤪#opawz #doghairdye #pinkhair #poochie #doggrooming #dogsofbuffalony #wny #buffalony #barbie #creativegrooming
Sometimes the reality of situations are hard to see..
Unfortunately, many doodle puppies have the reality of coming from mamas like this one.
Kept in a barn, used for one reason only, and completely uncared for in many ways.😔
A large number of theses mamas don’t make it to a rescue, and most of them we will never even know about.. This is why supporting ethnical breeders (or adopting!) is essential to help end the dark lives breeding dogs live. 🤞🏽
Fortunately for Freya she was able to get out of those abhorrent conditions and her way to a safe, forever home 🏡💖
At a certain age our pups grooming needs become less about looks and more about comfort. Max is a 15 year old puppy who came in for a spa day! Mom asked for a tight outline cut, and I couldn’t agree more that it was the perfect option for him. It would allow us to easily get a large amount of hair off of him which in return would be the easiest option for him to maintain. After a nice bath and conditioning treatment, we blew out a major amount of coat before coming in and trimming him up! Max was awful handsome before his cut, but after he looked like such a dapper man 😍💖
One of my favorite things to do is volunteer a little bit of time (and lots of love) to dogs rescued from horrendous conditions in the south.
Some of these dogs are roaming the streets, unsure where their next meal will come from and zero sense of safety. Some are given to shelters no longer wanted and put on death row. Even puppies. Even healthy dogs. Space is needed and they take it up.
Nickel City Canine Rescue works tirelessly transporting dogs from these conditions to the rescue in Buffalo and into fosters homes.
Your donations, shares, and adoptions are what save these dogs lives.
When I saw Mena posted I immediately jump to help how I could. Since I’m unable to physically foster dogs, the least that I can do is help them to feel their best before their new lives. Mena looks like she may have had some puppies, and she was full of tight matting; which is difficult to release when a dog is so skinny (the odds of injury increase). She came in shy, slow, and uncertain. However Mena was a CHAMP. She acted like she’s been groomed her entire life and never moved a muscle. Getting her shave down and feeling her best, was heartwarming- but seeing her jump off my table and run around the facility is why I wanted to help. She was so happy to be able to move freely without pain 🥹✨🖤
PSA: With the holiday season approaching, please remember animals are a lifelong commitment. They come with unexpected expenses, needs, and deserve love and respect. Please do no give an animal as a gift unless the lifelong commitment is there.. through moves, kids, etc.
Please consider giving a rescue pet a second chance at life ❤️🐾
