🐾 Nosework fun with Freya, Lil Man & Aofah! 🐶✨
These three were patiently waiting their turn to search, and they all did amazing! 👏
Handler Melissa did such a great job encouraging little Lil Man (only 10 pounds!) to stretch up and indicate the source of odor. He knew it was there — he just needed a little boost of confidence to get up on his hind legs and show it off! 💪🐕
Even though it’s been a while since Lil Man has done Nosework, he jumped right back in and had a blast! 💛
It’s so important to encourage our dogs to search both high and low. When teaching dogs to search high, I like to encourage them just a bit above their nose level and gradually increase it while cheering them on to stretch up and explore. 🌟
Encouraging them to explore builds confidence and helps them develop independent searching — learning to work both high and low with enthusiasm and focus. 🐾💖
For handlers, remember that building confidence takes time, patience, and consistency. Our dogs rely on us to support and guide them — so take a breath, trust the process, and celebrate every small success along the way. 💕
