National Pet Hydration Awareness Month
Stay cool, stay hydrated! 💧🐾
July is National Pet Hydration Awareness Month, reminding us to keep our furry friends refreshed and revitalized during the summer heat to help prevent dehydration and/or heatstroke. Remember to provide fresh water and shade, especially during outdoor adventures. Let's keep those tails wagging and tongues lapping with plenty of H2O!
Please share to help spread awareness!

If you look closely at this video from under a microscope you can see that some blood cells appear to be moving. The movement is actually being caused by a heart worm! These pesky little guys are spread from pet to pet through mosquitos. When an infected mosquito sucks blood from a dog or cat they can also pass microscopic baby heart worms into your pets blood stream. Once there the worms will eventually travel to the heart where they will grow and multiply.
Please remember that it is much easier to prevent heart worms than it is to treat after the infection has started. Not only is the treatment long, and often times confusing, but it is also hard on your pet.
