Horsemanship Lessons, Training, Boarding and Restorative Riding for Exceptional children We teach courage, confidence, and teamwork with each lesson.

White Oak Stables offers Horsemanship Lessons, Training and Boarding, along with Restorative Riding for Exceptional Children. You can schedule a group lesson with us ($30 per student) or you can schedule a private lesson ($40 for one-on-one instruction). All lessons are an hour long. Our Restorative Riding Lessons for Exceptional Children are one-on-one lessons for $35. If you have any questions o

r would like to visit us, please call Sammi at (336)483-7440. Sammi has 28 years of riding experience and 10 years instructing people to ride and educating people about horses. She has trained and worked with traumatized and neglected horses since she was 14 years old. Sammi has shown horses for 9 years in English and Western pleasure, jumping, gymcona, 4-H shows and open shows. she still enjoys having shows at the barn and attending them when possible with her students. This all started in New York state with her taking lessons when she was 8 years old and wanting a pony. Sammi has learned many tricks to working with her horses and not forcing them. When Sammi teaches lessons her main focus is for the rider to have fun but learn to respect the horse and be in control, safely.

If you know White Oak Stables you know Turbo. Often times, his face was the first you saw. He made guarding & greeting his personal jobs. Turbo was boss of the barn & horse royalty!

We will miss his impatient chuffs at dinner time. Who will fire us for taking too long & serving cold food? He was an amazing horse w/an even bigger personality. Losing Turbo has left a huge hole in our barn. It (and us) will not be the same without him💔

Please keep his precious family in your thoughts and prayers.

We have 3 white horses at White Oak Stables
|Cherokee • Chex • Sam|
At least 2x a week, kids will bring in one, thinking they’re the other😂.

For clarity…Let’s this handsome dude…
❄️He’s the biggest of all 3.
❄️In winter: You can find him in the boys pasture, neck deep in a fresh round bale.
In Summer: In stall #2 face deep in a hay net.
❄️He is the 1st to volunteer for a spa day.
❄️He’s also the 1st volunteer for breakfast.

We’ve received numerous calls from concerned drivers informing us that we had a “dead horse on our property!”
Our response… Stay Calm! It’s just Sam. He’s not dead, just suntanning. He’ll flip sides shortly🤣

Honestly, We love this guy bunches!!
Sam’s an amazing character with a long history of fancy shows & lots of love.
We’re super happy to have him at our farm!

When you come visit us …. Be sure to drop the big guy a treat💙 He says Thank you.

The barn saw filled with so much JOY!!

We were super excited to see several new faces. Of course, we always love to host our veteran campers. It’s great to see them teaching and helping.

The “horse booty” ornaments, goat pedicures and the Scavenger Hunt were HITS!
But…of course, riding is the best part. The horses always steal the show♥️

We want to thank all our campers & their families. 2024 camps have been amazing!!

Be on the lookout for a 2025 Camp Schedule.
They’re gonna be even better!

💙RESCUE UPDATE:
Remember “Shug” the shaggy Poodle??
She is safe and being cared for by Carolina Poodle Rescue.
We are so thankful to have found this awesome rescue with so many resources.

Shug will need major surgery to removed her extensive mammary cancer & spay. This will be a HUGE undertaking!! But we are optimistic that she will recover & live out the rest of her days being a pampered pooch💙
