Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the heroes who emerged, and the strength of a nation united in the face of tragedy. 🇺🇸❤️

September 11, 2001, changed us forever—but it also reminded us of the power of resilience, courage, and love. We will never forget the innocent lives taken, the bravery of first responders, and the families who carry the weight of that day every single day.

May we always honor their memory by living with compassion, unity, and gratitude for the freedoms we hold dear.

We will never forget.

The moment you all have been waiting for, another American Pride update.

First, thank you to each and every one of you that donated, shared, and sent well wishes.
We cannot thank you enough. Horses are expensive and even more expensive when they need rehabilitation. We could not continue to do what we do without our supporters.

Now onto American Pride! It has been roughly a week since we took him and started getting him the care that he needed. He has made much progress over the last week. His wound on his face is almost healed up. He is eating well. He got a bath and his rain rot addressed. He still has a good bit but we are continuing to treat it. His coat is looking shiny instead of dull. He appears to be gaining weight as well. It’s a slow process!

He was not wanting to be super cooperative with his pictures being taken last evening, but here are some updated pics of him and the wound.

We are still in need of donations for him. If you feel inclined to donate, the information can be found below.

Things we are in great need of are senior feed, beet pulp, alfalfa hay. He will need a follow up dental and his feet trimmed as well. If anyone would like to sponsor either of those, please send us a message.

All donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law. Our EIN is: 82-4523453

American Pride update!!

He got his teeth done today. He had two rotten teeth near that wound. The wound got cleaned out very well and upon further examination it was definitely found to be coming from those teeth. There was a pocket of nastiness inside that got broken open and allowed to drain. He had multiple hooks and sharp points in his mouth. In a few weeks he will get his teeth looked at again and a more thorough float will be completed at that time. Due to his condition, didn’t want to do too much at one time. Just address the major issues and allow him to heal and then go back in and do the final touches.

Although he is in the condition that he is in, he is still in high spirits. He seems much perkier now that he has a happier mouth.

We want to thank you all that donated to him so far!! Without your donations and support, we would not be able to help him out and get him the care that he deserves.

We were able to get the cost of his teeth covered and we have some much needed items coming from Chewy from a few donors. We cannot thank you all enough for your generosity. We do not have any big sponsors nor do we receive any state or federal funding. Most of the times we are paying for all of them all by ourselves. When we do get donations, we are forever thankful!!

Thank you to Diamond S Equine Services for coming to us on a whim! You knew we needed you and needed you quickly!

Also a huge thank you to Dr. Jamie Carter from Southern Equine Service for only being a text away and helping us through this process of getting him back to a healthier state! We couldn’t have taken this on without you helping us through this.

We are now focusing on treating the wound by keeping it as clean as possible, giving him antibiotics and keeping him fed.

We are still in need of donations. Mainly donations of feed. He is going to need a lot of it!

A few other things that will be needed in the future that can be sponsored are:

- Farrier: $25
- Shots and Coggins: $106
- F***l and wormer if needed: TBD

If you feel inclined to donate, the links can be found below.

** URGENT donation request **

First, please do not bash the owner as this was a difficult decision for them, but we are here to help him get back to where he needs to be!

Everyone meet American Pride. He is a 23 year old Thoroughbred that we took in as an owner surrender. His owner fell on hard times and has done the right thing by surrendering him to us. Now we are asking for your help in getting him back to where he needs to be! He is in desperate need of extensive veterinary care, nutritional support, and long term rehabilitation. With your help, he can receive all the above.

Every dollar goes directly towards his medical treatment, specialized feed, and daily care and he begins his healing journey. No donation is too small, every bit helps. If you can't donate, please share, someone else may be able to.

He is currently under the care of our veterinarian and we are doing everything as instructed.

Things that he needs ASAP:

1. He needs his teeth done, which is already scheduled. If anyone would like to sponsor his teeth getting done, or even donate to it the payment, options can be found below. We are not sure how much this will cost, as we don't know the full amount of damage right now. He has blown an abscess on the side of his face, which we feel is definitely from his teeth.

2. Food and lots of it. We are feeding him senior feed, beet pulp and started him on alfalfa cubes.

3. Wound care products. He has an abscess on his face that we are treating and rain rot as well.

Farrier, vaccinations, worming, and coggins will all need to be done as well, once he is in better health.

Right now the main focus is getting his teeth taken care of, getting that wound healed up and getting him back to a healthy weight. Once his teeth are fixed, we have no doubt that the weight will start coming on quick!

Posted below are our wish lists for him. We have marked priority items on the Chewy List.

Courtesy Post!

We were asked if we could take this mare but unfortunately we are unable to take her at this time. We told them that we would help to find someone that could give her a soft landing.

She is a 30 year old mare that has never been ridden. She will need weight and most likely needs shots and coggins. Has been a pasture mate. Her owner passed away and his son is looking to place the horse.

We do not know anything else about the horse, we are just trying to help the owners find a soft landing for her.

If you have a space in your paddock and want to rehab her and love on her, please let us know. We will get you in touch with the owner.

Please share!

We want to say thank you to A Home For Every Horse for the spring mailing of the Purina coupons! They will help us out tremendously. We thank you so much for what you do and helping out the rescues.

We also want to thank Laura Thompson for her generous donations of tack, blankets, buckets, tools, and much more to the rescue. We are so grateful!

We need your help! Luxor needs a umbilical hernia repair surgery. He needs it done as soon as we can come up with the funds. If we don't get the surgery done soon, it could become life threatening.

We cannot schedule the surgery until we have payment in full.

We need your help to raise these funds. We know things are tight for everyone right now, they are extremely tight for us as well. Even if you can't donate, please share! Sharing helps more than you know.

We have over 1k followers, if all of you just donated $1 we would be well on our way to getting his surgery done.

With this being time-sensitive, we can accept donations through the following:
