Vets called. Honey made it thru surgery, but is recovering a lil slower than they like so they will b monitoring her a bit longer. Her teeth were so bad that he had a hard time getting in there resulting in some blood & swelling so she got some steroids and is resting and recovering.
I'm to call back closer to the end of the night for an update. So I'll post on here later.

Update on Honey.. dr thinks it just an abscess, she wasn't very cooperative, so she's going to surgery tomorro for tooth trim and to drain that abscess.

So update on the last 2 sets of rescues. The tiny frail PEW sadly did not survive. But her larger cage mate is now in with a friend and doing well. She will b up for adoption real soon.
The 2 new girls are at the vets right now. Her teeth r really bad and what she failed to mention was she also had a large lump on her neck and I just found a small soft lump under her tight arm pit. I have a feeling, with how bad her teeth are, that the lump on the neck has something to do with her bottom teeth. I'm pretty sure she will need surgery .... but these girls have the best personalities, soooo sweet...and for girls they r super chill. Here's some terrible pics with my phone at the vets currently 🙃💓

So yesterday I took in 2 lil PEWs. Someone thought they were "rescuing" from the feeder bin at Pet Supplies Plus. Sadly the one sold as "extra small" is not doing so well. She only had them 2 days, so I kno this is no fault of the one who purchased them. These babies are being starved/fighting to get enough food at that place. But this one seems super young nd was prob pulled prematurely from its mom a good week ago before brought to the store for sales. She is super thin, tail's boney, the has no weight to her and has diarrhea form lack of nutritional food. I am trying my best to bring her back from death, but im losing hope :'(

And just about an hour ago I was contacted to take in 2 more. Older girls. One has Malocclusion so bad she was afraid shed need to have her euthanized. I told her not to worry, Ill come get them tomorro and I will have her seen by my vet early next week and just fatten her up on baby food/soft foods til then. I will be posting pics of them once I get the rest of them sent to me.

I was contacted today by a woman needing help placing her 2 female rats.
Here is the info I have right now:
"The older female is app 1 yr and the younger is app 6- 8 months.
They're pretty docile & no health issues.
I live in Henryville, PA.
The cage was borrowed from a friend( so they wont come with)
I will travel but not a great distance."

UPDATE ** Found a loving home **
About 2 weeks ago I took in 2 boys. I was msgd by a friend who mentioned that her cousin was moving and couldnt keep her rats, and also mentioned they were living in a fish tank 🤦‍♀️
So although I didnt really have the space, I knew I couldnt say no. So I met her in town and met the boys for the first time. I can tell that life in a fish tank had def taken its toll. Both boys were in poor condition and sounded terrible. Porf surrounded the eyes of both and the mink one had actually rubbed some fur off from around his eyes and had a lil blister near his whiskers from his continuous cleaning of his eyes and nose. I went up the attic and brought a CN down to my kitchen(as far away from all my other rattos as I could) set it up and began their treatment. They were def not a fan of being held or the taste of the meds. So rather than traumatize them anymore, I started just sneaking their meds in some yummy turkey baby food.
Fast forward to today. Meds were stopped 2 days ago. They both sound and look amazing! I had them out on my bed for free roam and they got lots of room to run around and hide and they got one of their fav treats, Frozen peas. They are still a lil skitzy/timid if fast movements are made. I think the naked one is nearly blind as he sways pretty heavy. But once held these boys will melt into you and enjoy to be loved on. I do not have any great pics, but I did take a short video for my friend this morning when she msgd and asked how they were doing. I'll post it below and will try my best to get some pics.
These boys WILL be looking for a home. So if you are interested, they do not come with a cage at all, since thats how they came to me, but I will offer a baggie of treat mix and a hammock sewn with love by urs truly

** 6/11/24 UPDATE: PENDING WEEKEND PICKUP

2 sweet male rats. 9m old. Come with cage and whatever is left of theirs til they find a new family.
Kids no longer interested, so mom wants them to go somewhere they will get the time & attention they deserve. She states they are very sweet and mellow, kid friendly, and around 9 months old.

Another request for me to help find a family for their boys. Her kids wanted them and now dont really bother with them, so mom wants them to go somewhere they will get the attention they deserve.

"Two males - bought together a few months ago. Teddy & Bear are their names! They have been handled often and are sweet gentleman. The grey and white one is a little more reserved but has no issues with handling. They will come with everything needed to raise a rat. They both are under a year old. No health concerns. Located in Dover, PA willing to travel an hour give or take."

Ive been contacted by a girl looking to find a home for her 3 boys.
She writes:
I'm located in State College, PA. The boys aren't from the same litter, but we're all born in May 2022 (so will be 2 in May). They've always lived together and have always gotten along. They show no hostility toward each other and just cuddle up together. I haven't handled them since they were a few months old, but they take treats well. They all appear healthy. No signs of illness as far as I can tell. We just don't have the time to give them the life they need. Their name are Sam (black), Merry (cream/white), and Pippin (grey/white).

I'm happy to give them with their cage (double Critter Nation) and any food and items for them I have left. I also have a new, smaller cage that I'd probably transport them in that an adopter can keep.

No fee. (but I will be doing the same screening for her as Id do if they were here)
She writes "Remy (brown rat) likes to run around outside of his cage and be held, Sammy (grey) is more reserved and shy but if he’s in the mood he enjoys being held and cuddled.
They do come with cage belongings.
Sammy did have Pneumonia but he’s on medication and he isn’t contagious anymore, he’s just taking his last round of meds."

UPDATE ON THESE 3/Four GUYS.....
So ALL these guys are just wonderful. Ill have no idea why the orig owner ever surrendered them, they are perfect gentlemen. I have actually decided to Neuter #4 since he's alone and when hes recovered put him with some girls, but the other 3 can be adopted out asap. They are healthy(abscess is all but healed and looks great on the PEW), happy, playful and just all around wonder boys. I estimate they are between 6m and a year. They did not come with a cage, but I do have a cage that could suit them and im only asking $50 OR i can sell you a SCN for a reasonable price and probably wave any adoption fees for the boys, as long as I deem you are the right home for them. They will come with a honeycomb hammock courtesy of Andrea's Handmade Small Pet Supplies, some Oxbow, & a treat bag take home package. Please let me know if you are interested.
I GUARANTEE you will NOT be disappointed
