Kiwi’s Missing Pet Help

Kiwi’s Missing Pet Help This is a page to help you find your pet. Everything is FREE, advice, resources and help. My name is Tony Alberico. Here is the story behind my mission. Never.

I started Kiwi and Milo’s Lost Pet Help in the wake of losing and finding Kiwi my Pug, best friend and service dog in the worst possible situation you can imagine. The pain is so great and I need a positive thing to come from the death of Kiwi. So this group was formed, it’s main goal is to help find lost dog and return them to their rightful owners. I want and need to prevent what happened to Kiw

i, my daughter, my wife and me from ever happening again. Please join our group and help us find those lost loved ones. Kiwi got lost cause family kids let her lose by accident while playing. She was my best friend and service dog and extreme best friend to my 12 year old daughter. During the week and a half Kiwi was missing we were frantically searching for her. I slept for only three hours per day and was online and searching for her. I drive over 360 miles and spoke to 100’s of people and nobody saw her. It’s like she vanished. When she got out of the yard she only had a five minute lead on us but she was gone. We posted signs everywhere both online and on every street and park and trail upto 3 miles in every direction. Online over 20k people knew about her missing and followed the horror as it unfolded. On the signs, both physical and online we put the reward amount, a picture and our phone number. As a result people would call trying to scam to get the reward money or set me up to be robbed. I even had people prank call and howl or bark or say they found her and they are on their way to drop her off which never happened and they would call and tell me I’m a sucker. Some would call and say the most horrific things and tell me how they loved the sound her legs made when they pulled them out of socket and what really made them orgasm was when she screamed while they cut her head off. And that’s not even the worst thing I heard I would receive 6-8 calls like this daily and no leads. Online I got a lot of support and sad faces but no leads and people were kind enough to check shelter websites looking for Kiwi. I kept most of the foul calls away from my wife and my daughter knows nothing about them. I had to take the brunt of the abuse and harm in order to protect them all the while trying desperately to find Kiwi, and it’s taken it’s toll. After a week and a half I found her drowned in a water runoff ditch full of mud, plants, trash and debris. She was decaying and bloated, broken and filthy. The smell of her body stayed in my nose for days after. Every breath I took reminded me of the state I found my beloved Kiwi in and it was absolute torture. It’s sucked beyond words and it still does. The next day my father and brother were able to collect her remains and get her cremated. They did a beautiful job in returning her dignity and she is back home where she is deeply loved and where she belongs. They told me they even cleaned her before she got cremated. She is in a beautiful wooden box with her photo and her name Kiwi engraved in to the wood and painted with silver. I even got her paw print (I will never know how that was possible but I’m so thankful I have it). My heart is broken. She was my best friend and she was also my support pug. She helped save my life a few months back and I wasn’t able to return the favor and I will never forgive myself for that. I tried I really did. Over 30k people followed on fb and other websites and 100’s looked for her while they were out and about. The support was amazing and the love. When I updated everyone online some went and put flowers out where she was found and at the local dog parks. Many people mourned her passing and cried for hours and a few for days. She was able to bring a community together under love and a common cause all be it a awful one. Did you know you can pray in your sleep? I didn’t but it turns out you can. This story is completely tragic and none of it is okay. I developed Broken Heart Syndrome and it’s dangerous. It’s a real thing, look it up. The only good is God sent a Christian man and his dog and they found Kiwi. He called me and that night when I saw Kiwi he literally supported me as I nearly fell to the ground, and loved on me in those moments. Where she was found is impossible. We would have never found her. It took this man’s dog to find her. So God answered my (our) nonstop prayers… all be it, not the way I wanted. In a city with over 5000 square miles and over 250k residents God led me to a small 20lb Pug 10 feet down a ditch where she was covered in debris just so I can bring her home. That is God at work and a miracle. During this time two ladies helped and continue to help get me and my family through this, so those are the only things that went right and that’s what I have to hold into. I pray I can come to terms with the heartache and trauma of this but that will have to be another miracle. So please pray for us as we are completely torn and crushed. Please pray for Sophia. She blames herself as she thinks she didn’t check the gate. She always does but she doesn’t see it that way. She doesn’t talk as much as she did and we are getting her counseling. She and Kiwi literally did everything together and were best friends and two peas in a pod. To say we are concerned is an understatement. I too am getting help. Please join our group and help us find lost family members. You don’t have to go out and hang posters or fliers but it would be awesome if you can offer that. If you PM me I will give you websites that you can search on for these lost pets. You can help in your spare time and when you are bored. Please help someone out that is broken and completely lost. Message me anytime or text me at (720) 260-4511. Thank you,
Tony Alberico

⭐️⭐️Hi everyone,⭐️⭐️
This is not spam and if not allowed please remove. This is kind of long and I’m sorry about that, but please take the time to read my story and PSA.

So last year this week someone let my service pug Kiwi out of my backyard. We searched for her for over a week and a half and then after all the horrific prank calls and scammers and would be thief’s and muggers, I found my beautiful sweet girl. Kiwi had passed due to exposure and drowning. She died in a street water run off ditch. She was there for over a week when I found her broken and decaying body. I was able to collect her remains and get her cremated. She is home where she belongs and is very loved. She is with me on my nightstand and I still talk to her daily. Truth be told I love(d) Kiwi more than some family members. To this day I struggle with her loss and all the emotional trauma and guilt that goes with it. But I found her and I brought her home.

I very rarely leave the house now, I struggle with extreme anxiety and depression and severe PTSD (not brought on by her passing). She was my service Pug for a reason, and I miss her daily.

Since then my wife has got me a lil black pug named Enzo. He is wonderful in his own way but I’m waiting for him to become more calm so he can be with me more and not into everything lol. He brings me joy and a lot of love but he really needs to calm down lol. Anyways to keep him from the horrible pain Kiwi and my family were in a year ago and still endure, I got Enzo and my other dog Oscar a Fi GPS collar. It uses WiFi, cellular network from the major carriers and satellites to locate your dog within six feet anywhere in the world. The collar is tied into a 72 satellite network. The collar will notify you when they leave your yard or any other safe zone you make and it has live tracking. It also keeps track of your dogs steps, walks, sleep and other things.

Currently Amazon has the Fi series 3 collar for $189. But they will give you a 30 day trial and a FULL YEAR OF SERVICE FREE!!! That is a better deal than I got a year ago, I only got 6mo free.

Now truth be told sometimes it does glitch out and will send you a random escape text or it will notify you like 20 mins after the dog has left home and is in a walk or something. But that doesn’t happen often and the tracking is spot on and is displayed with maps and directions and fastest route to help you get to your pup. You can add people that also get the notifications and you can add dog walkers, owners and other people like kids, friends or even neighbors. It will tell you the nearest vets with all their contact info and dog parks where ever you are. It even connects to your workout app Strava. Oh and let’s not forget you can share whatever to your instagram or your dogs very own instagram social media account. It’s awesome. The Fi app can also track multiple dogs with their own collars.

Anyways I just wanted to let you know my story and this good product and hopefully keep you from the heartache, guilt and pain I feel daily.

Here is the link if you are interested. Oh and the collar stays charged for like 30+ days and when you are using the gps or at night the collar has a light to help you see and find your pug when it’s dark out. When your pup is lost and the collar is using all of the tech, the battery will drain faster and last upto 24 hours on a full charge. That’s why I use it. The long battery life.

Here is the link: I will also try to put it in the comments so it’s linked to Amazon.

This is a true story. This past summer I lost my Service Pug kiwi, as kids let her out of the yard. I found her in a road water runoff ditch. She had died she was bloated and decaying. But I was able to bring her home where she belongs. I have not been the same since. I will never forgive myself for not finding her alive and for not knowing about this collar. All my dogs have this collar now as I never want to go through that pain again.

Please get your babies a Fi Collar. It uses wifi, cell and gps to locate your dog within 10 feet. It’s super cheap and is awesome. I test them every week. I don’t want anyone to experience the pain I’m going through six months later.

Here is where you can get one. Use my code to save $20 and get one month of free membership at activation 🐶

I absolutely love this collar! It’s super affordable, and the rechargeable battery lasts up to 3 months. I can track the fitness of Enzo and locate him within 10 feet anywhere in the US even if there is no Cellular Network.

Check it out. If you like you can try it out. Use this code I got for you all and see for yourself. And don’t worry there are no contracts and the first month of service is Cover when you use this link. So you can try it.

Instantly track your dog’s location and monitor their activity. The world’s first collar with LTE technology, and 3-month battery life means less charging.

What to do when your pet goes missing

your posts should and needs to include ALL of the following info.
Day, month, date, year, time, neighborhood, cross streets, city, state, county, zipcode that your furbaby is missing from so your post gets to people in your area and better chance of being reunited. If you post on other sites include all the info too. Do NOT include microchip numbers!!! I recommend setting up a Google Voice phone number and using that instead of giving out your real phone number. This way after you find your pet you can shut it off and end the endless stream of prank and scammer calls. It comes with voicemail, caller I’d and all the goodies for free and it’s super easy to set up. Here is that link. https://voice.google.com/u/0/signup

List on PawBoost asap and PetFBI
Notify the company you registered you microchip and Flag as missing. Do not include microchip numbers on flyers or website posts, just that they are chipped.

Get flyers and signs out as fast as possible.

Contact veterinary practices in your area. They may have a Lost and Found bulletin board in their offices. Read the “found” ads, and take out a “lost” ad in the newspapers. If your neighborhood permits, post fliers in the area where you lost your pet. Here is a website that took me forever to find but it’s gold as it has all the Vet hospitals and info along the entire front range.

Here are other ways to search for your lost dog:
* Check your environment. A small dog may get scared and hide under a bed or another tight space that helps them feel secure. Look carefully inside your home and retrace your steps if your pet follows you into a room and gets stuck on the other side of a closed door.
* Grab your dog's leash, a wrinkled bag (like a plastic shopping bag or potato chip bag), and some enticing treats (like pieces of a hot dog), then knock on your neighbor's doors. Let them know that your dog is missing and how to contact you if there's a sighting.
* Take a walk in your neighborhood. Maybe your dog wandered to a neighbor's yard to check out an exciting smell or followed the scent of a pup a few blocks away. This is where the crinkly bag and enticing treats will come in handy.
* If you see your dog, remain calm. Try to lure them to you with the sound of the bag and the scent of food, using these calming signals pet detective Kat Albrecht of Missing Animal Response Network. Do not call your dog — even if you spot it. This can seem counterintuitive, but calling a dog can cause it to run from you. Do not chase your dog. This can either add to your dog's fear or turn into a game, potentially causing your pet to travel farther than they had before.

* Visit your local animal services, animal control agency, or animal shelter. An in-person trip is preferable, so you can look for your lost dog, share a photo and give them your contact information (with a backup contact if you miss a call). Remember: you're searching for the person who's found or spotted your pet, so getting the word out is key.
* Check to make sure your dog's microchip information is up to date so the person that finds your pet can reach you quickly if they're brought to a shelter or veterinarian's office and scanned.
* Continue to spread the word and ask others to help you do the same. Try placing large, brightly colored posters in well-trafficked areas near your home using simple, easy-to-read phrasing like "Lost dog. Please help." Include your phone number and a picture of your missing best friend.
* For an easy flyer template you can print at home, upload your pet to Petco Love Lost and visit your dashboard to print your pet listing. Get the word out on Facebook, Facebook Groups, Ring Doorbell Neighbors, Nextdoor, and Craigslist.
* Post on social media through lost pet pages or groups on platforms like Facebook or Nextdoor, and ask others to share and spread the word.

Is your dog microchipped? If so, the odds are in your favor. According to an American Veterinary Medical Association study, dogs without microchips were returned to their families 21.9% of the time, while microchipped dogs returned 52.2% of the time.
Even dogs found 600 and 1,000 miles from their homes were reunited with their families thanks to their mighty microchip. If your pet's microchipped, ensure that your contact info is up to date in your microchip registry, and make sure you're ready to provide proof of ownership.
We know it's upsetting to discover that part of your pack is missing, but there is hope. Try to stay calm, put these ideas into practice, and visit Petco Love Lost to help and bring your best friend back home.

A lot of this info came from Petco Lost Love website.

Here are websites to check to see if your pet has been found and to report them lost. The best I have seen is
24petconnect.com. You can search for your pet upto 200 miles and get results from most of the shelters and rescues in the state and beyond. You can also filter by breed or dog size or what kind of animal you are searching for. The site gets update every 20 mins so be sure to check several times per day. Be sure to check the sites and groups that rehome pets for a fee. Some people steal or find lost pets and sell them instead of returning them to their homes. So check sites like Craigslist and Facebook Groups.

Here are some sites to check out. I think these are the best ones but there are a ton of them and they most likely are one that can even do more for you. But I don’t know about that.
