We have seen an increase in canine respiratory cases.

Symptoms can include coughing, difficulty breathing, sneezing, nasal and/or eye discharge, and lethargy.

Guidance from the Colorado Department of Agriculture on what you can do to protect your pet:

* Ensure dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, including canine influenza, bordetella and parainfluenza.
* Reduce your pet’s exposure by limiting commingling with other dogs outside the home (including dog parks, boarding, grooming, and play groups).
* Consult with your veterinarian if your dog becomes ill. Early diagnostics may help in getting an accurate diagnosis and treatment. * If your dog becomes ill or presents symptoms, keep them at home to avoid exposure to other dogs.

We are asking that any clients with dogs showing respiratory symptoms please call before entering the building. We are trying to limit exposure to healthy animals.

Our hearts go out to those affected by the fires. Colorado Feline Foster Rescue, a feline organization we work with, wanted our ACN family to know they are a resource for cats affected by the disaster.

Please keep your pets safe this weekend. Their hearing is far superior to ours and fireworks can sound like a war zone and be very scary.

🐾 Keep them inside during fireworks

🐾 Make sure they are wearing identification

🐾 Make sure your microchip information is current. If your pet is lost, report it to your microchip company ASAP

🐾No table scraps or dumpster diving for human food/alcohol/recreational drugs

🐾 Spoil them with a PawBender from Goodtimes or another pet safe treat ❤️
