Buford (yellow/white) and Birdie (tricolor) are both potty trained, good with other dogs and cats, love to snuggle with each other, and have been well cared for. Buford tends to be anxious and Birdie likes to try to comfort him so a calm home might be an ideal fit.

Meet Buford and Birdie!
This 5-6 year old bonded pair has just come to us from a loving home that can’t keep them. Buford is the tan/white male and Birdie is the tri-color female. They are neutered/spayed, up to date on vaccinations, housebroken and good with other dogs. Buford has some anxiety so a calm environment would be best.
These babies are beautiful and ready for adoption.

We would like to congratulate Trooper on finding his forever home!!
We pulled this adorable boy from a shelter and look at him now!
He now lives with the best family in Demopolis and has a brother named Bo, who adores him (just look at the photo of Bo with his arm around Trooper 😀)
We are all so happy for you sweet boy!!!♥️

Our Tinsel Trot was a Big Success this year!!
Even with the rain and cold temperatures everyone had a great time!!!
We appreciate all our sponsors, on-site vendors, and Santa for stopping by for photos!!!
We had many of our BHRA fosters, volunteers and previous adopters come out with their bassets to support us.
Basset Hound Rescue of Alabama is truly loved and supported by so many people and for that we are very grateful!
We truly love and are passionate about this rescue and our community of supporters. Thank you all!!!!!

Looks like rain will - hopefully - hold off until after the trot! Shirt/goodie bag pickup and activities start at 3:00. We will move The Trot time up a bit if it looks like rain will start. Our vendors-Hollywood Feed, Flat Basset Coffee Beans and Travelin’ Tom’s will also be set up at 3. And….at the BHRA merch table we will have BHRA towels!! We are sold out of shirts but we do have goodie bags for $10 so your pup can join in the activities - if you didn’t register. Hope to see everyone at 3:00!

We are so excited to announce that Beautiful Callie Sue (now Cami) has found her forever home in Carlisle, Pennsylvania!!!
This trooper made the long journey to her new home from Alabama and arrived there safe and sound at 4AM!!
Her new mom says she loves to go on walks and loves her new 10&1/2 year old basset mix sister 💗

This Thanksgiving week, we are thankful that FISHER has found his forever family!
This sweet boy came to live in Montgomery a few months ago and has just fit right in at his new home!
He definitely looks the cutest in his Halloween costumes!!!
