As 2025 comes to an end, we want to pause and say thank you—from the bottom of our hearts💕
To our friends, family, supporters, adopters, and our incredible volunteers: because of you, hundreds of kitties found safety, love, and a second chance this year. This rescue exists only because of you. ❤️
We’re signing off 2025 by introducing you to the most handsome, loving soul—Bello.
Bello was left behind when his family moved away, forced to roam the neighborhood, begging for food and shelter. Thankfully, a kind woman saw him, scooped him up, and now he’s safe under our care.
Bello is just about 2 years young and FIV positive—and that’s perfectly okay. He can still live a long, happy, love-filled life, with or without other kitty siblings. Every single person who meets Bello falls in love. He is gentle, grateful, and holds no grudges—despite everything he’s been through.
Bello is what this world needs right now: pure love, resilience, and joy💙
He is the perfect reminder of why we do what we do—and why none of it would be possible without you.

✨ Meet Miley & Kylie ✨
Bonded sisters and Northport Cat Rescue Association’s Kittens of the Week 💕
In October 2024, two tiny souls came into this world with nothing but each other. Miley and Kylie were found huddled together near a colony—small, frightened kittens facing a world far too big and uncertain for babies. Cold, scared, and alone, they did the only thing they knew how to do… they held on to one another.
Their path to safety wasn’t easy. Just when it seemed like they might finally catch a break, another illness would appear, testing their fragile bodies and brave hearts. But through every setback, Miley and Kylie never let go. They healed side by side, growing stronger together, quietly reminding us that love truly can be the most powerful medicine.
Today, these once-fearful kittens are healthy, thriving, and ready for the next chapter of their story. They’re gentle souls who will need a family willing to offer patience, kindness, and a little extra grace as they settle into a new home.
Once she feels safe, Miley blossoms into pure affection—leaning in for head rubs and flopping over in total trust for belly scratches. Kylie, her devoted shadow, happily follows her people from room to room, always eager for love and connection.
They adore other cats, cherish human companionship, and have waited far too long for a place to finally belong. What they need now is a forever home—together.

Meet Maude and Paris, currently waiting at Pet Supplies Plus in the Elwood Shopping Center. 💔💕

Both of these sweet souls came from incredibly loving foster homes, where they were cherished, held, and surrounded by affection. Moving into habitats, even temporarily, has been very hard on them. You can see it in their eyes—and in these photos—how much they miss being petted, cuddled, and close to people.

Our volunteers visit twice a day to give them love, comfort, and reassurance, but nothing replaces the warmth of a real home. If you stop by, please take a moment to talk to them softly through the habitat, tell them they’re safe, and remind them they’re loved. Every gentle word matters.

Most of all, please consider submitting an adoption application. We have one short week left before the end of the year, and it would be nothing short of a miracle for Maude and Paris to leave 2025 behind in habitats and welcome the New Year in their forever homes—curled up on a couch, hearing laughter, and watching the ball drop surrounded by love. 🎆🐾

Meet beautiful Maude, born around March 2024 💕
Maude’s story begins with love. She and her siblings were cared for by a very kind elderly woman who adored them. When she sadly passed away, the kittens were suddenly left outside with no one to protect them. Thankfully, the woman’s caregiver reached out to NCRA, and one of our amazing volunteers rushed in to scoop them all up and bring them safely to rescue. Maude was one of those precious babies saved that day.
Maude is the definition of a love bug. She is incredibly sweet, deeply affectionate, and happily clingy with the people she trusts. She’s a non-stop purring machine, a little silly, and gets along well with other cats. Her foster dad says she is the most affectionate kitty he has ever met — and that says everything.
Maude has known the comfort of a foster home until this past weekend, when she moved to Pet Supplies Plus, located at 1960 Jericho Turnpike, East Northport, NY 11731. The transition has been hard for her. Our furbabies don’t understand that these habitats are meant to help them be seen and find their forever families. Right now, Maude can often be found curled into a tiny ball, looking a little lost and sad.
But if you stop by and speak softly to her, she’ll listen. She’ll come right up to the door for gentle head scratches, leaning into every bit of kindness you offer.
Maude is truly a special girl, and more than anything, we want her dreams to come true — a loving home, a warm lap, and a family to call her own for the holidays.

💙 Hi, I’m Milan. This is my brother Amalfi — my nap buddy, my playmate, my everything.
We’re bonded brothers waiting at Petco Commack, spending our days curled up together, watching people walk by and hoping one of them is our person. I’m the confident cuddler, always ready to lean in, while Amalfi is my gentle, soulful brother — sweet, calm, and happiest right by my side 🐾
We came from the most loving foster home, but leaving meant saying goodbye to our friends Joanie and Richie, and we miss them so much 😔 They’re a bonded mother and son who lost their owner and were found wandering, confused and alone.
Joanie is 6, the ultimate lap cat with the loudest, deepest purr, happiest when being brushed or watching the world from a window. Richie is about 5 — shy at first, but once he trusts you, he’s all headbutts, nuzzles, and kitty kisses 💕
Kittens like us usually get picked first… and that makes us worry about them. Older cats wait longer, even though their hearts are just as full of love.

Brooklyn is a stunning girl, born around September 2023, with a story that will truly touch your heart. She was found abandoned in a duffle bag beside a dumpster, bravely protecting her tiny kitten… and she was pregnant again. 💔➡️💖
Thanks to a compassionate firefighter who rescued them, Brooklyn and her baby were kept safe and given a second chance at life.
Once in our care, Brooklyn delivered her babies and proved to be an exceptional mama. Through everything she’s endured, she never lost her gentle, loving spirit.

💙 Meet Kai & Buoy 💙
Bonded brothers. Best friends. Forever soulmates.
Born on 10/14/24, Kai and Buoy’s journey began on a cold, frigid December day when they were rescued from a property in Northport during a rainstorm. They were found alongside their brother Wade, who has since been adopted and found his forever home. Thanks to a kind and compassionate neighbor who went searching for them after finding their mom, these boys were given a second chance at life. 🐾
While in our habitats, sweet Kai suffered a knee injury and needed time to heal in foster care. And of course, there was no way we could ever separate him from his brother and best friend, Buoy—so they went to foster care together, where they remain today.
Now, these incredibly special boys need your help. They desperately need exposure so they can finally find the forever home they deserve. 🙏 Please share their story far and wide.
Kai and Buoy are truly the gentlest, sweetest souls. There isn’t a person, cat, or dog they’ve met that they don’t immediately ask love from. They happily climb into your lap or snuggle beside you for comfort, offering nothing but pure affection. 💕
They’re playful, curious, free-spirited, and get along beautifully with other cats and dogs. They’ll curl up with you while you read a book, making them the perfect companions for any age. Just a little over a year old, they still have that delightful kitten spirit—paired with a “what you see is what you get” personality that will melt your heart.

PARIS IS SEARCHING FOR A Bestie AND THE HOME SHE DESERVES ✨

Paris was fostered with another kitty for only a short time, but in that time… something beautiful happened. She finally felt safe. She finally had a friend. And even though we didn’t promote them as a bonded pair because of the short time they were together, her heart told us otherwise the moment her friend was adopted.

Since then, Paris has been gently searching the house, looking for her little friend💔 Her foster has been giving her extra love—soft words, slow blinks, warm snuggles—so she always knows she’s cherished. But it’s clear this girl’s heart was made to love deeply.

Paris is one of those souls who carries quiet strength. She’s only a little over a year old, yet she survived abandonment, losing her home, and still found the courage to care for her own kittens… and even take in a few strays who needed her. She’s gentle, sweet, and kind to every creature she meets—cats, and even her foster’s dog. 🐾

She teaches us that it doesn’t take years to form a real friendship… sometimes it’s just a moment, a spark, a little click of the heart.

Now we are searching for a new best friend for Paris—a family who will love her as fiercely as she has loved others. Someone who will show her that this time, the home she finds is forever. ❤️
