Meet sweet Claude, born around March of 2024 šŸ’™šŸ’™šŸ’™
Claude and his siblings were taken care of by a very kind elderly lady, but when she passed away, they were left outside with no one to help them. Luckily, the woman’s care giver called NCRA and one of our wonderful volunteers scooped them all up and took them into rescue. They were very nervous at first, and took some time to socialize, but now they are beyond ready for their happily ever after’s.
Claude is a purring machine, that just wants to relax on your lap and be pet. He is an absolute doll, and gets along well with other cats.
He is ready for adoption and will be headed to our habitats! If you would like to meet this sweet boy before he moves, in the comfort of his foster home, please fill out an application at www.northportcatrescue.org.

And our amazing Mets tickets fundraiser is still open!! Go to our website to purchase raffle tickets!! Help cats like Claude – all monies raised goes right back into rescue!! www.northportcatrescue.org and you can win 4 tickets at CitiField in amazing seats to the Monday, July 21st game!

PLEA TO HELP GET THESE 2 SWEETHEARTS ADOPTED TOGETHER:

Kiki and Coco are at Petco Commack. They have been there a while. We have had several potential adopters for other cats come in for meet and greets, and Kiki will follow them around as if he is saying, ā€œpick usā€, and yet they keep getting overlooked. They have not received even one application.
Maybe they seem ordinary to visitors….but they are anything but…they are extraordinary.

Kiki (tabby) and Coco are bonded brothers, born in January of 2024.
The have been through a lot at such a young age; they came from a dire situation.
Just kittens, their owner was hospitalized and never came back. Luckily, some kind neighbors would feed them and reached out to NCRA for help.

When they arrived, they were scared. They were confused…where was Dad? Coco seemed to be grieving. Kiki was nervous but kept a strong front and focused on leaning into his brother Coco to comfort him. Neither were aggressive nor hissing…proof that they had been loved even for just a short while. They were quiet.

We came to find out their owner bought them off Craigs List. Who knows what they went through before being adopted…we don’t know about their history, but we know that they have not known stability and these boys crave it.

They needed to decompress. They needed to feel love and kindness. They went to an amazing foster home. At first, we were slightly worried. Suddenly after just a few days of kindness and comfort, we saw their true personalities.

They are silly, affectionate, loving, vocal and extremely snuggly.

It is very clear how much they love each other. They can live with other cats too. They are amazing.
They have spent their entire lives thus far waiting for a forever home. Come meet them at Petco Commack or fill out an application at www.northportcatrescue.org šŸ’™

Meet Luisa, a beautiful long haired female kitten, around 1 year old, our kitten of the week!
When Luisa came to us, she was part of a trap and release program. After she was spayed, it was determined that this little fluff ball definitely had potential to be socialized so off to a wonderful foster home she went. After a few months boy did she prove all of us right!!

She can be timid at first but she loves to be pet and is very affectionate and purrs easily. She’s vocal but not with meows, she has a little trill going all the time.

She loves other cats as well and even won over the two cats in her foster home quickly and believe me it wasn’t an easy crowd !!
She will definitely need another kitty in the home with her as she loves the company.

Luisa is a stunning and very petite. Her most beautiful attribute is her long and luscious tail that she will sway gracefully, especially in your face!

She loves to look out the windows and birdwatch and she is quite silly and loves to play. She will need someone that will be patient with her to open up in her new home but when she does, she is absolutely perfect.

She is ready for adoption and was recently put in one of our store habitats. The first few days in a habitat is always the hardest for our fur babies. Most of the time, they hide on day one, and by day 3 are coming out for some fun and treats with our wonderful volunteers. Some even acclimate immediately.

Every blue moon, we get a kitty that just cannot handle the cage. They will hide, may not eat, sometimes they will pant and cry non stop. When this happens, we depend strongly on our volunteers to alert us.

Luisa was one of those kittens. The decision was made to remove Luisa from our habitat at Doggie Don’s and place her back in her foster home.

As soon as Luisa was back in foster, she couldn’t stop purring and her adorable personality came back.

Now is the hard part. How do we get her adopted without the exposure? It’s not an easy task, and so we wee hoping anyone that reads this will share her story and help her find her happily ever after. She is an absolute treasure. Fill out an app at www.northportcatrescue.org to meet her!

Sometimes we just need a happy story! 🩷

Congratulations to Brianna and Ryan on their engagement!

Brianna is very special to our rescue because back in January she adopted not 1, not 2, but 3 sisters that were very bonded. We were praying for a miracle that someone would adopt the three of them together !

Along came Brianna, she met all 3 and fell in love with them and ultimately decided she just couldn’t split them up and adopted Ayla, Arla and Alice together!

They are doing fabulous having the time of their lives and when Brianna’s then boyfriend, Ryan decided to propose to Brianna, he had to get the girls permission… of course they said yes because they loved Ryan just as much, and now they are living together as one big happy family!!!

We love it so much when we can keep a family together- thank you Brianna and Ryan and congratulations!!

Happy life to all of you and be sure to send us some wedding pictures!!!šŸ’•šŸ’•šŸ’•
