PARIS IS SEARCHING FOR A Bestie AND THE HOME SHE DESERVES ✨

Paris was fostered with another kitty for only a short time, but in that time… something beautiful happened. She finally felt safe. She finally had a friend. And even though we didn’t promote them as a bonded pair because of the short time they were together, her heart told us otherwise the moment her friend was adopted.

Since then, Paris has been gently searching the house, looking for her little friend💔 Her foster has been giving her extra love—soft words, slow blinks, warm snuggles—so she always knows she’s cherished. But it’s clear this girl’s heart was made to love deeply.

Paris is one of those souls who carries quiet strength. She’s only a little over a year old, yet she survived abandonment, losing her home, and still found the courage to care for her own kittens… and even take in a few strays who needed her. She’s gentle, sweet, and kind to every creature she meets—cats, and even her foster’s dog. 🐾

She teaches us that it doesn’t take years to form a real friendship… sometimes it’s just a moment, a spark, a little click of the heart.

Now we are searching for a new best friend for Paris—a family who will love her as fiercely as she has loved others. Someone who will show her that this time, the home she finds is forever. ❤️
🎄 Let’s give Paris a home for the holidays.
If you or someone you know wants to meet this precious girl, please reach out. She has so much love left to give.

Meet sweet Luisa — a little soul who’s been waiting her whole life for someone to see her, Northport Cat Rescue Association’s kitty of the week.

Estimated to have been born around June 2024, she’s just over a year old but still carries all the tenderness and curiosity of a kitten. Luisa’s story began outside, where she grew up in a large colony of cats. She was shy, unsure, and never quite knew where she fit in. When she was finally trapped, it became clear that this gentle girl wasn’t meant to struggle for survival outdoors — she deserved warmth, safety, and love. So into foster care she went, where her true self slowly began to bloom.

Luisa is a petite, long-haired black-and-white beauty. She has a tiny, secret white patch on her chest, and when she rolls over in trust, you’ll see her snowy belly. And her tail — oh, her tail! — a magnificent plume of fluff that she sways with quiet elegance… often right in your face, as if to say, “Notice me. I’m here.”

Though timid at first, Luisa’s heart is bigger than her fears. She melts under gentle pets, purring the moment she feels safe. Her voice isn’t a meow but a soft, constant trill — her own little love song. Habitats overwhelm her, and she becomes frightened, which is why we’re hoping to find her a forever home directly from foster care, where she feels secure enough to show who she really is.

She adores other cats and would thrive in a home with a feline friend. She spends quiet moments birdwatching from windows, and when she thinks no one is looking, she lets her silly, playful side shine through.

Luisa needs someone patient — someone willing to give her the time and understanding she never had. But once she realizes she’s safe… once her walls come down… she becomes nothing short of purrfection.

If you’re willing to open your heart to a girl who’s been waiting her whole life for a place to belong, Luisa will fill it with more love than you can imagine. Fill out a no commitment application at www.northportcatrescue.org to meet this precious girl 💕

Meet bonded sisters Miley and Kylie, born 10/15/2024. Found outside near a colony as tiny, frightened kittens, they clung to each other for comfort. Their start in rescue was one illness after another, but today they are healthy, thriving, and finally ready for adoption. They’ll need a little patience as they settle in, but once comfortable, Miley leans in for head rubs and flops over for belly scratches, while Kylie happily follows you around for attention. They adore other cats and have waited far too long for their forever home. Please consider giving these deserving girls the loving home they’ve been waiting for.

Miley and Kylie are spayed have all their shots, are litter box-trained, micro-chipped and FELV/FIV negative.

Meet Splash, a tiny survivor with a heart far bigger than her little body 💕

Born on 4/14/2025, she came into rescue with her beloved brother, Surf — her constant companion and her best friend.. she followed him everywhere. When Surf suddenly fell ill and passed, Splash’s world fell apart. 💔
She searched for him. She waited for him. And she grieved in a way that broke all of our hearts.
But love has a way of finding those who need it most.
In a warm, gentle foster home filled with kind humans and friendly cats, Splash slowly began to heal. First a small purr… then a curious peek from behind a door… then a full-on kitten zoom that told us her spirit was returning. 💛
Today, Splash is a different girl — still tender, still a little nervous, but brave in the most beautiful ways. She plays all day long, she adores other cats, and when she feels safe, she’ll crawl right into your lap and melt into you.
She hasn’t forgotten her brother, but she has rediscovered joy… and hope.
And now she’s ready for her forever home.
We want her next move to be her last — a home full of warmth, patience, and holiday magic. A home where she’ll never feel alone again. ✨
Would you like to meet this incredibly special girl?
Please fill out a no-commitment application at www.northportcatrescue.org and we’ll arrange a meet & greet. 🐾
Help us give Splash the cozy, love-filled future she deserves.
Please share. 💕

This email came in from Piper’s mom….please let’s help her- she included some detailed pics of Piper- read her plea below:

Hello!

Please hang, share, and stare — Piper’s on an unplanned adventure, and I need your help to bring her back!

It’s been four months since Piper went missing. At this point, the only thing I haven’t tried is hiring someone with a thermal drone.

Tonight, I divided South Huntington and Huntington Station into six grids and spent four hours stapling red, black, and white “Missing Cat – Piper” flyers onto every light pole. I hung 100 flyers, grid by grid. This is just one more step in the hundreds of efforts I’ve made to bring Piper home.

I found her AirTag collar on a driveway off Teed & Melville. The homeowner mentioned Piper got scared after a scuffle with another outdoor cat and ran off, leaving her collar behind.

I’ve done hundreds of mailbox drops, hung posters, contacted every shelter and animal hospital, and even spoken to psychics. There’s no shame in my search game. Piper has been shared across every social media platform, yet she still hasn’t returned, likely because she didn’t have a chance to settle into her new home.

I moved here with my daughter in July from Boca Raton after losing my husband suddenly at 49. His passing turned our lives upside down, and we cannot bear another loss.

All we want for Christmas is our cat. We’ve already suffered enough.

PLEASE — let the calls start coming in tomorrow. 🙏💔

This Giving Tuesday, we hope you’ll consider supporting the Northport Cat Rescue Association.Every single penny donated goes directly toward saving and caring for the incredible cats who depend on us. Cats like Sparky.
Sparky’s story is a difficult one to share. At 8 years old, he spent years living alone in a small room after his mom became too ill to care for him. Someone would come by only a few times a week to feed him and clean his litter box — but he lived his life in isolation, without companionship, affection, or a comforting voice.
When a concerned family member learned what was happening, she gently convinced Sparky’s mom to surrender him to us. What we found broke our hearts: a scared, confused boy who didn’t understand kindness because he’d barely experienced it.
Since arriving at our rescue, Sparky has received full veterinary care, including the removal of a painful tooth that must have bothered him for far too long. He is now safe, loved, and slowly discovering what it feels like to be spoken to gently… to be touched kindly… to not be alone.
Sparky will need patience, time, and a lot of socialization to help him trust again. What he doesn’t know yet is that we will never give up on him.
We are incredibly grateful for our wonderful volunteers and for the friends and supporters who make our work possible. In a perfect world we would never have to ask — but on Giving Tuesday, we hope you don’t mind that we do.
Your support truly changes lives.
