This sweet boy was adopted and loved from Northport Cat Rescue. His mom is clearly doing everything and is very affected by his loss- see her plea below and if everyone could share her story please do- let’s help bring Finn home 💔❤️ Her plea: Please know that if you have Finneas, he wants to come home. On the evening of May 5, 2025 he was sitting on his cat seat in the living room window. He loves to peer out through the screen to see what animals may come into the yard. On that night, something did come into our yard, which spooked him, and as he launched for it, the screen became loose and he fell out of the first floor window. We immediately started looking for him. 40 minutes later my husband spotted him under a bush in our backyard but because he was in survival mode when my husband attempted to get him, he ran off through our front gate. We searched throughout the night, every night and day. We called in the help of Long Island Search and Rescue, Teddy Henn and Charmaine DeRosa. They came right away and helped with the search to no avail. Two weeks later on May 12 at 2:30 am our front camera alerted and there he was walking, timidly across the front stoop. I went out looking for him, calling him with his treats, sitting on the front step wishing and praying he would just come back so I could bring him in the house bring him back to where he is so loved and so missed. We have done everything in our power to find him. We searched night and day for weeks and weeks on end. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t sleep. I didn’t go to work for a month because I was so afraid to leave the house in case he showed up. I didn’t want to miss one opportunity of getting him back, the anguish of not knowing what happened to him is truly devastating. Please be my hero and help me find him.

A heartfelt thanks to Troop 76 out of Dix Hills Junior Scouts! They hosted a donation drive for us at Petco Commack yesterday, and it was a great success!

If we could read their minds ….
Luke & Larry – Bonded Brothers Still Waiting 💔

These one-year-old brothers survived the unimaginable. Last winter they were found in a mechanic’s shop, starving, freezing, and chewing on pizza boxes just to stay alive. Their sister didn’t make it… and they stayed by her side until help arrived.

Since coming to NCRA, they’ve finally learned what safety feels like.
Larry is the brave lovebug who leans in for pets.
Luke is shy at first, but melts the moment he trusts you.

They comfort each other through everything. They must stay together.

They’re great with other cats and even did well with a dog in foster care.

💔 They’ve been waiting at Petco Commack for so long — without a single application.

Please share their story and help Luke & Larry find the home their sister never got.

We have a few kittens and a couple of adult cats who need a safe place to stay for a short period of time. We provide all food, litter, supplies, vetting, and full support. 🌙 Luna’s Story — Waiting for Her Turn 🌙
Adoption Event – Today (Sun. Nov. 9) | Petco Commack | 12–4 PM
📍 30 Veterans Memorial Hwy

Luna was just a kitten herself when she came into rescue—pregnant, scared, and far too young to be a mom. But she rose to the challenge with pure love. 💕 She doted on her babies, watched them grow, and made sure each one found their perfect home.

Now all her kittens are adopted… and Luna is still waiting.

Her foster mom says:

“She’s a total sweetheart—calm, affectionate, gentle. Gives little head butts for love and settles in so beautifully. The kind of cat you’d want to keep forever.”

Luna has given her heart to everyone else. It’s time for someone to give theirs to her. 🩵

🐾 Kitten & Cat Adoption Event – This Sunday! 🐾

So many adorable cats and kittens are looking for their forever homes — come meet them and maybe fall in love! 💕
We’re also looking for a foster home for four very special little ones — Tara, Weldon, Dottie, and Mighty Man — rescued with their mommy when they were just 2 weeks old. They’re not ready for adoption yet, but they need a loving foster to help them grow strong and healthy.
Tara even has one green eye and one blue eye — she’s absolutely stunning and her siblings are just as precious! 😻
Our rescue is foster-based, which means we can only save as many cats and kittens as we have foster homes for. If you’ve ever thought about fostering, now’s the perfect time to start!
