After weighing many pros and cons and working for a few local barns, I have decided to merge with Winding Hill Stables and will start taking on new clients with limited availability.

I will be offering lessons for intermediate to advanced riders at the beautiful Winding Hill Stables facility in Northport, Ny and willing to travel to teach if you have a horse at home and approval from your current trainer. We’re also available to accompany you to shows and provide assistance as needed.

We will also be available to help you find your next horse or pony. If we don't have what you're looking for, we can find it for you in the US or through our trusted contacts in Europe and Canada. We can also assist you in breeding with our favorite stallion breeders in Kentucky and Europe, or help you purchase a quality foal for future investment purposes.

We take pride in our program that focuses on building a strong riding foundation rooted in traditional equitation principles, leading to success across all levels. We specialize in hunters, jumpers, equitation, sales, and young horse development.

With decades of horse experience and years of successful ownership and operation of our show facility, we have built a strong foundation and made valuable connections in the industry. Our dedication to our customers has allowed us to set the stage for our up-and-coming riders to become the next great horsemen and horsewomen of their generation.

We have closed our Delaware doors a few months ago and have moved to Long Island, Ny. Gold leaf apologizes for any inconvenience as we see all of your messages asking about boarding and lessons. Going forward we will be sending replies offering few local options for you to board and lesson at.

Due to renovations on our indoor and facility the barn will be closed for lessons until Tuesday April 12th. We apologize for any inconvenience as the weather this week held us back from completing these renovations and we would like to take advantage of this weekends weather to complete the work.

Details of the job include but not limited too:

Must know your way around horses

Feed, Hay, Water and Stalls

Have reliable Transportation

Weekends free for Horse shows (Not a must)

Responsible and kind

Good work ethics and social skills

Stabling for 1 horse can be arranged if needed

This is a weekly paying job. 3-4x a week depending on ability and availability!
8-1pm or 10-3pm

To all Gold Leaf Stables Llc boarders ! It’s Starting to warm up! If you would like your horse to have a fan please bring them this week, so we can get them up in time for the heat . As all of the ones from last year I don’t want to re-use due to fire risk!

Round metal fans works best but a box fan will work as well !

Also please take home all of your blankets to replace with their Fly sheets and mask. If you would like your blankets washed please let me know and we can have them washed with ours.

The barn will be repaired and painted in the next few weeks stalls and isle ways . The horses will be put during this time to allow for painting and drying .

In our contract and barn rule if your horse breaks the fence and or property of Gold Leaf Stables is your responsibility to fix/ replace the damaged property or fences . Please do the right thing as we worked hard to have this beautiful facility and it is only right !
