Feathered Angels Rescue and Sanctuary FARS hello all!! I’m asking for for help. I run a small rescue and sanctuary out of my home and specialize in disabled birds, specifically conures. Pictured is Ziggy Marley. She was my first introduction to the special needs birds. She has a splayed leg. It’s an incredibly long story as to how we have her, but clif notes are; my youngest daughter (17) lost her boyfriend to a severe asthma attack. He had a cherry headed conure bird named Iggy. We desperately tried to adopt Iggy after the BF passed, but BFs dad gave her to a pet store 🥺 and we were unable to move forward. Said daughter then decided she needed a parrot. She searched high and low, all over New England, and found this disabled bird with a wonkey leg that needed a home. Daughter purchase Ziggy for the bargain rate of 100.00 bucks. Well, as well all know birds actually pick their person and Ziggy bonded with me immensely. So at 50 years old we discovered I was a bird person. Now four years and 17 birds later I run my own rescue and sanctuary. My goal is to be the last stop/home for birds with special needs. Of the 17 birds I have four special needs conures, a single splayed leg (Ziggy) a double splayed leg (Maximus the Fastest) a blind in one eye (Princess Patty, cataracts) and unfortunately will go blind in her other eye at some point and Cosmo. Cosmo was literally dropped off at my home with a traumatic beak injury and a hanging toenail!!! Well, as you all know, birds and vet bills are so expensive. In order to earn stars and money via Facebook you need to have so many followers. THIS is where I need help. I am super chill and never assume people will just follow you. BUT you NEED a certain amount of followers to earn money. I NEED followers to move to the next step. All I’m asking for are followers. Please follow me so we can get some additional funds to support these birds. Please share and follow so these birds can get the support they need. It’s been a hectic summer! I haven’t been able to spend a lot of extra time with the birds and I’m feeling guilty. Heading into my happy place for an undisclosed amount of time! Enrichment time!!!
