Through cooperation with our close-knit rescue partners in the south, Mary's Dogs Rescue & Adoption staff, volunteers, Board members, and adoptive families in New England effect a three-fold mission:

1. We actively support the efforts of our rescue partners who work to reduce the number of homeless dogs by rescuing dogs off the streets and from shelters, and who raise awareness of canine health i

ssues, and spay and neuter programs.

2. We ensure excellent supportive and medical care of rescued dogs throughout the adoption process and follow up with families after dogs are placed in their homes. Through every step of the rescue and adoption, connections are made between people, cultures, and dogs. Our community is extremely grateful for the supportive network that embraces us.

Leo is a 14-month-old Aussiedoodle with a heart of gold and a personality that lights up every room. He’s a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with every dog he meets. Currently, Leo is staying in a foster home where he’s been living harmoniously with cats and older children, proving just how adaptable and loving he is.

For the past year, Leo has been cherished in a caring home in Mississippi. Sadly, his owner has recently fallen very ill and can no longer care for him. While Leo has been showered with love and excellent care, he now needs a new forever family to continue giving him the affection and stability he deserves.

Dear Diary,

My foster family told me that today is New Year's Eve! They said it’s a day to reflect on the past year and celebrate what’s to come. I’m not entirely sure what all that means, but I do know that it feels special. As the clock ticks closer to midnight, I dream about what the next year will bring.

As we ring in the new year, I’ll be here, waiting with a wagging tail, ready to share all my love with the one who chooses me. The best thing in life is still ahead of me, and I just know that 2024 could be the year I find my person.

Back in November, we introduced you to some adorable puppies born in Mississippi who will be joining us here in New Hampshire this February! These little ones have grown so much and are now ready for names! The blonde puppy on top is a boy, and the other five are girls.

We previously asked you all for name suggestions and narrowed down a few options. Which theme do you love the most?

A: Taylor Swift- Archer, August, Evermore, Starlight, Marjorie, and Betty
B: Coffee Flavors- Toffee, Cocoa, Mocha, Chai, Toffee, and Cappuccino
C: NH Mountains- Jefferson, Madison, Rosa, Kearsarge, Monroe, and Moriah

Every dog deserves a chance of a loving home, many of the dogs that come to our rescue are looking for a family to welcome them into their home and to cherish their company. We have many puppies that come through our rescue, but some of the dogs that come to us are adult dogs that either were left as a stray or have struggled to find a home due to the challenges of dog over population.

Flower is another adult dog coming to our rescue, and will be available to adopt in 1 week. Flower is a quiet and very affectionate girl. She loves other dogs and does well with cats. She is like a shadow with people she likes, as she enjoys being right beside you. This sweet girl is 1 year old, and about 38lbs. Dogs such as Penny, are 18 months and VERY friendly. Her southern foster has told us how she loves to be close to people and finds her way to the fun spot in the home. She is 27lbs, and such a sweet and silly girl.
