With summer festivities kicking off, we want to remind you about the symptoms of heatstroke and prevention tips:

-Never leave your pet unattended in a car
-When hot/humid, keep your pet’s time outdoors limited
-Keep your pet hydrated
-Ensure your pet has ventilation and a cool environment
-Dogs with short noses are at higher risk due to their condensed facial anatomy and restricted ability to cool themselves
-If any signs of heat stroke appear, contact our team immediately.

Is your pet scooting or licking their rear? It could be their a**l glands.

A**l glands are located on the rear of dogs and cats. The glands produce an oily, fishy-smelling fluid that helps with scent marking. Sometimes these glands can get impacted or infected.

Soft, consistent stool, as well as allergies, are common causes of irritation. If your pet is scooting, licking excessively, or showing signs of discomfort around their rear end, contact us! We will help to identify the cause and determine the best course of treatment.

It’s October! 👻🎃 Through the month of October we will be having a Pet Costume Contest! 🎃 Here’s how to enter….. •Clients have the option of sending a photo of their pet in a costume through our page or have it sent to our email ([email protected]) Or you may stop in the clinic and have one of our staff members take a picture (no appointment needed for picture) Once we have picture’s submitted we will have a poll on Facebook at the end of the month to determine who our winner is! You will have until October 29 to submit a photo. Once a winner is chosen, they will receive a personalized gift that best suits their pet 🐶🐱
