🎄DONATION DRIVE FOR RESCUES 🎄

The season of giving is here, and we’re so excited to kick off our Annual Donation Drive to help local rescue dogs in need. ❤️

Last year, your incredible generosity made a world of difference. 🌎 Together, we donated crates, leashes, toys, treats, and so much more to two amazing rescues. The impact you made was felt by countless dogs—and we know we can do it again, even bigger and better this year! 🥰

This year, we’re proud to support Great Dog Rescue New England and Hotel for Homeless Dogs Humane Society . These rescues work tirelessly to care for dogs waiting for their forever homes, and they need our help now more than ever. 🐶 🐾

📅 Collection Dates: Monday, Dec. 2nd – Friday, Dec. 20th
⏰ Drop-Off Hours: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
📍 Drop-Off Location: Plastic bin by the courtyard gate

Cranberry & Banana Pup Muffins for Dogs 🍌🍒

Ingredients:
- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- 1/2 cup dried, unsweetened cranberries (chopped if needed)
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 2 cups whole wheat flour (or gluten-free flour)
- 1 egg (optional for added binding)

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed banana, applesauce, and egg (if using).
3. Gradually add the flour, mixing until a thick batter forms.
4. Fold in the dried cranberries.
5. Spoon the batter into the muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full.
6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
7. Let the muffins cool completely before serving.

Storage Instructions:
Store muffins in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.

*longest resident alert!*

Our staff and volunteers can't understand why squishy Moe hasn't been adopted yet! This guy came to us on a transport where we had limited information of his history. He was adopted out to a wonderful home who reached back out to our Methuen team after some unforeseen circumstances that came up in their lives that made it so they could no longer continue to be his caregivers. It was clear upon his return that he and his adopter had been working on a lot of the in-home basics you might expect a dog with limited history to start from scratch on like: house training, settling on his own, self-entertaining with toys, and walking on leash.

Given the amount of transitions Moe has been through, this handsome fella is looking for a patient adopter that is dedicated to helping him become his most amazing self. While tender and sweet, Moe is an active young dog who is still looking to perfect his best manners. At the shelter, he has been working on keeping all four feet on the ground and walking on a loose leash as sometimes his excitement can get the best of the practice he's been working on thus far! Luckily, he loves to train and already knows a few tricks, so we are confident he would do well continuing his learning in a class or two. Moe would do best living in a quieter environment to help with his stress associated with numerous variables in the environment. At this time, Moe would like to be the only dog in the home although he is working on practicing calm walks with tolerant dog friends! Moe has never lived with a cat, so it will be important if he goes home to take this introduction slow and steady. Moe hasn't spent an abundance of time around kids, so kids who are comfortable with a bigger, rowdy guy would be ideal!

💙 A festive dessert of plain canned pumpkin topped with a dollop of plain Greek yogurt.
💙 Fun frozen cups of cranberries, yogurt, and applesauce for a refreshing treat!

Because sharing the love (and the right foods) is what Thanksgiving is all about.

🦃 It's turkey time! From a TCVM perspective turkey is a neutral protein- depending on the sourcing it can be more cooling or warming. It is cooler than chicken, but warmer than duck.

When you're preparing your bird this Thanksgiving, save the giblets and feed them raw to your pet!
