Check this out!!! Myles's self-determined 4H project, 3D Printing, is getting its final touches. He had a vision and made it come to life through 100+ hours of printing, learning the software, design selection, color scheme selection, diagnostic and repair work on the printer, etc. Words can't express how proud we are of him and we hope you get a chance to see his finished project in person at the fair!

Only beans left to go once the corn hits height in the 3 sisters mounds, and get some tomato trellises up🤘.

Pumpkin, watermelon, and sunflower seeds we harvested last season off some of the crops are showing great germination. Hoping to have a good selection of pumpkins for sale this fall, fingers crossed.

Day #142, pulled another 18 for scrambled eggs. Water is still clear with no smell, and eggs were good consistency. Shells seemed stronger than last round.

It's always something...

Over the weekend, Michigan lost nearly 2 million laying hens to HPAI.

While the state recently had a dairy herd infected with the virus, this is its first confirmed case in commercial poultry flock of 2024.

Day #93, first time cracking open the bucket. No smell and no broken eggs (amazing with 3 boys passing by it multiple times a day in the pantry)! We removed 20, rinsed, cracked, inspected and made into scrambled eggs. Happy to report that was yesterday morning and everyone is OK, with round 2 already down the hatch for a few family members again this morning. Next check in 30 days time.

*Drum roll please* 2023 Fall Festival Flyer!

For the last 15 years, we have been offering Scarecrow Making, including birth certificates, but as the world evolves…. We do too and this year is the last year we will be offering scarecrows.

But, don’t worry, we have added 5+ activities since last year to add more fun for all ages!

Great year for melons and pumpkins (small snapshot of everything picked today, with 2x still left to harvest). Was hoping the Moon & Stars watermelon would break 40lbs, ohhhh so close.

Last week brought 5"+ rain and resulted in a destroyed melon crop. We salvaged 1, but she was still 1-2wks early and not sweet enough. Watermelons and pumpkins are holding strong, time will tell if they make it. Next 2wks look good weather wise🤞
