I would like to welcome miss Mady Felter to the House of Hounds crew. Today was her first day in the shop and she fit right in. Over the next week Mady will be learning the ropes and getting acquainted with clients as she prepares for her groomers training. I’m sure many have heard about the mystery Respiratory illness in dogs that is spreading rapidly across the U.S. Although there are no reported cases in Ohio yet, I ask that clients reschedule appointments if their dogs show ANY sign of illness.

-Coughing
-Unusual eye or nose discharge
-lethargic/loss of appetite
-vomiting
-diarrhea

We want out pets to look good for the holidays but because there is little known about this illness, it’s better to be safe then sorry! We want everyone to have a safe, happy and HEALTHY holiday season! 🐶❤️

Good Morning! The Holidays are upon us and we wanted to give everyone an update on our holiday closings and policy changes.

For Thanksgiving we will be closed Thursday November 23rd through Monday November 27th.

For Christmas we will be closed Saturday December 23rd through Wednesday January 3rd.

****Please understand we will not be responding to calls and messages during those times of closure. All calls and messages will be returned as soon as we return to the shop.

At this time we are not accepting any large or xL breed clients including doodles. They are a majority of what we do, we groom oodles of doodles!

Thank you all so very much for your continued support and referrals. We couldn’t be as successful as we are without you!

As summer is coming quickly to an end we would like to take this time to make people aware of some up coming changes.

*** I would like to apologize to anyone who has been trying to call the 419-554-5850 number. I have been having troubles with my voicemail for a few months now. My mailbox is NOT full and I don’t always hear my phone so texting is best until I get this issue sorted out. (Verizon has not been real helpful)***

*Schedule changes: We will no longer be taking late afternoon/evening appointments. We will NOT schedule dogs after 3:30pm and all dogs will need to be picked up by 5:30pm. Saturday appointments are available but limited so be sure to schedule ongoing appointments. Any dogs that need to be dropped off before 8:30am, please make prior arrangements with your groomer.

*Pricing: We don’t like to raise prices but unfortunately as the cost of products and equipment go up, we have no choice. Groomers will discuss price increase on an individual basis.

*Fleas: We offer flea treatments as a courtesy to clients because we know that sometimes fleas are hard to see. We let each individual client know when we find fleas. We also share resources for on going flea treatments. Any clients with reoccurring flea problems will have an increase in price to cover the cost of product.
