We were wrapped up with celebrating Dr Jen's accomplishments in California followed by Team/Vet Tech Appreciation week we missed posting many team milestones and birthdays!

In September and October we honored many team members 😻

🎉 Angel and Morgan both celebrated their 1 year employment anniversaries and birthdays in September
🎂 Dr Ryan, Dr Jen and Molly all celebrated their birthdays in October
🎆 Kelly celebrated her 1 year employment anniversary in October
🥳 Heather will celebrate her 2 year employment anniversary on Friday

I chose to share these two photos of Dr Jen, today in honor of National Boss's Day. These two photos help me capture her personality, her infectious laugh and celebrate her during a moment where she felt like she was on top of the world. I am not only thankful that our team was able to experience and celebrate her greatest accomplishment but that I get the luxury of being her Practice Manager.

I celebrate her today and all of the wonderful things she has provided me and our team. I've seen her at some of her most challenging moments and she has listened to me cry during some of my own. She has lifted me up, supported me, invested in me and most of all she has given me the trust and space that I need to be myself and lead her practices and teams to great things. She is one of the kindest, most intelligent and dedicated people I have ever had the pleasure of not only meeting, but working with. Heavy on the 'with' part, I don't feel that I work FOR her, but WITH her.

Don't let me try to fool you, it hasn't always been rainbows and butterflies but her ability to evolve, her desire to give back and empower, invest in and support me and her team is unmatched. There are things that have been possible in my life that wouldn't have been, simply because she gave me the faith and tools that I needed to be successful.

Happy National Boss's Day, Dr Jen, we appreciate you more than words or a social media post could ever describe. You're truly an inspiration and I am forever grateful that our paths lead us both here.

Tomorrow kicks of National Vet Tech Appreciation Week! This is our favorite week of the year, we celebrate our entire team! If you visit our clinics this week we would love it if you thanked our team for all that they do to keep your pets happy and healthy! 🐾🐶😻

Both of our offices will be closing at 1PM on Thursday 10/17 for a team celebration!

Our trip to The Veterinary Dental Forum in Palm Springs, California has been an absolutely wonderful experience! We also cannot wait to return to you and your incredible furry family members. We all are excited to share our experience and new knowledge with you and your families!

Our offices re-open Monday at 12PM and then we return to normal business hours on Tuesday, October 1st! ✈️🐶😻

As many of you know, Dr Jennifer Mathis has been working for the last several years to obtain her DADVC and in July 2024 she officially became a Board Certified Animal Dentist! This is a huge accomplishment and will welcome BIG changes to our practices. We look forward to the development of her teaching facility in early 2025. 👩‍🏫

This prestigious achievement marks her as one of around 300 dental specialists in the world (or one of around 250 in North America) to hold this rigorous specialty degree, demonstrating her exceptional expertise and dedication to veterinary dental care. Veterinary dental care encompasses a wide range of advanced procedures, including periodontal therapies such as guided tissue regeneration, advanced 3D imaging, oral tumor removal, oral fracture repair, root canal therapy, crowns, and orthodontics. 🐾

A celebration is in order, starting with our team traveling with Dr Jen to Palm Springs, California later this month. Today is a special day for Morgan! She rejoined our team 1 year ago today and we are so lucky to have her. Morgan works really hard to make sure that all of your calls and questions don't go unanswered at our West Des Moines location. In addition to that, Morgan ensures that the pets boarding with us receive exceptional care! While we have always enjoyed working Morgan, the last 12 months she's grown so much as a team member and displays leadership within whatever role she is working. We look forward to many more years of celebrating Morgan on our team!

We enjoy having Chelsea on our team so much, her patient care is always on point and she goes above and beyond for every furry critter that crosses her path. We are hoping to celebrate many more birthdays with Chelsea!

From 9 years to forever! Allie and Shawn have been together for 9 years today and this afternoon we get to witness the two of them unite in marriage. Both of our offices will close at 2PM today to allow our team to attend Allie and Shawn's wedding.
