Meet Max who is looking for a Female only household with Children (Whom he adores), or without Children, and with a dog his size, and he'd be in heaven. He's a wonderful watch dog, so he can provide that security for your home. He's a loyal and Gentle boy.

Meet Max, the incredible canine companion who captured our hearts from the moment we laid eyes on him. Max is a magnificent 62 pound 16 Month old bundle of joy with a heart as big as his size. Max has a wealth of love and happiness to offer a family willing to take a chance on him. Max's defining feature is his unbridled enthusiasm and affection.

Max has fostered with me for 2.5 months. I am a single woman living alone with multiple dogs and he is one happy camper in this household. I have determined, even though he did live with a man (whom he loved off the bat) and his family, he is most comfortable with an Adult Female with or without children household. He actually LOVES children. His tail starts wagging the moment he meets them. And he loves to play with dogs his size.

But it is evident that somewhere in his past a man was not kind to him. But this does not manifest itself at all in my household. He met my Male Vet Tech easily with no issues and he can eventually warm up to men but I think in a perfect world he would make a loving companion in a female lead household with children/ without children as a wonderful watch dog. If men do come to the home, it’s easiest just to crate him and he is fine. Again he can be friends with men, but it will take time to nurture it. It’s not complicated and honestly I’m focusing on setting him up to succeed and not fail. He would love a home with another dog or two as he is an uber doggie player but is best with dogs his size which is in the 60s pound range.

He is always eager to shower his human friends with kisses and attempt to curl up in their laps, despite his size. His playful nature is apparent as he entertains himself for hours with toys and bones, showcasing his independent spirit. This big lug's playful demeanor extends to his interactions with other dogs. Max would likely thrive in the company of a canine companion of similar size and energy. During his time with us, Max displayed a wonderful rapport with our kids, bringing joy and laughter to our home. He even has a unique quirk of nibbling ears, adding an extra touch of endearing charm. Max's lovable nature and ability to create a sense of comfort by laying next to you during alone time make him an ideal addition to a loving home. Max is housebroken and fine on the leash. His willingness to adapt to a crate at night is a testament to his good-natured demeanor. Once he is settled, he sleeps through the night without a peep. In conclusion, Max is a beautiful, loveable soul who is waiting for the right family to give him the chance he truly deserves. She is the most lovable little dog. She'll snuggle up to you and lay next to you and be your constant companion. For an adult only household she is a gem. She’s thrive with a couple with no children, solo adult or retirees. She has never gotten along with dogs so she’s looking for an only dog household but is fine when walking on leash and there is another dog on leash and you don’t engage, she is perfectly fine. So she is NOT a reactive dog. With a dog like this you need to manage her. Just don’t let other dogs get in her face on walks and if people come to visit, put her in another room or crate. Just keep everybody safe. It’s not hard. The joy she will bring outweighs any steps you take to keep her safe.

She's great on leash and in a car, and in a house or an apartment. She loves being on couches and beds with her people. She is a very well-behaved girl. She’s so deserving of her Forever Retirement Home. She was adopted from North Shore Animal League seven years ago.

Here is Mr. Golden Bachelor, Mikey, who is a ten year old, 54 pound American Bulldog mix whose previous owner turned him into a Kill Shelter. Mikey loves people and is always happy to see you. He also loves to see all of his dog friends in daycare. He has learned a few commands like sit and place and his favorite time of day is dinnertime. But then again there is always the couch at TV Time where he can watch his favorite show “The Golden Bachelor”. He loves to chew on his bones and sunbathe in the garden then when it’s a little chillier he’ll sit by the window and watch the world go by. He is a non barker and housebroken. He is well-behaved and loves to walk on the leash and go for car rides. He is great company and will be a loyal companion. He’s a handsome dude to boot. Ask for his video

Hi Jennifer,

It has been awhile but I wanted to check in on this special day. It was four years ago today that Ruby joined us - thanks to you.

Ruby is nothing short of a gift from God and although we loved the five dogs that preceded her in our lives - she is the best of the bunch by far. We go to the dog park every day with her and everyone there agrees that she is the best behaved and a total sweetheart. Never in a million years could we have imagined a dog as perfect as Ruby.

She has a great life down here going on at least ten walks a day, dog park and beach visits regularly. She is worth everything we do for her. Last December my sisters husband lost his battle with COPD. He was in hospice for ten days prior to his passing and all he wanted was to see Ruby. The hospice allowed her to come into the hospital and go up to the hospice center. When i went to get her she pulled my husband into the lobby directly to the elevator bank where we could access the hospice elevator. She got off the elevator and pulled us toward my brother in laws room. She knew just where he was and jumped up on the bed and kissed him endlessly. It was so beautiful. The doctors gave him little time to live in 2020 but when we moved here and he met her his condition improved. His only wish every day was just to spend time with her and he did. Every time she goes to his house now she goes to the side of the bed where he slept
and gets on the bed. It is so clear that she knows he is gone and that she misses him. Her beautiful disposition keeps us happy and active and busy. She goes everywhere with us.

So thank you for helping us find this beautiful gem in our lives . I follow you and all you do for the animals you save. In the times in which we live right now you are a hero. Not only do you save the animals lives, you enrich the lives of all those you work so hard to find the right dog. This world needs more people like you!

Nathan is an adorable 2 years old 42 pound Pocket Bully who loves belly rubs, hiking, leash walking and playing with other dogs. He is uber doggie and cat social. Nathan is very food motivated, house broken and fine living with cats. And he is a non-barker. I’ve never heard a peep out of him. He is very doggie social and loves rough housing with his friends and going to the dog park. And did I mention his ears? They have a life of their own, they are little periscopes and it’s hilarious to watch! Nathan needs a calm and quiet environment to thrive. He would do best with a solo/couple who have a set routine so he knows his place and what to expect on a daily basis. He loves my home with his fellow doggies and a fenced in yard as I lead a very routine-oriented life which he thrives in. This is Club Med for Nathan, so I’m looking for a similar situation for him. He has had a rough beginning in his short life but he has a great heart and deserves a loving forever home. Once he picks his people, he will love you with all his little might. Brutus is a one year old 55 pound Lab-Bulldog mix who has the best personality & the prettiest Weimaraner gray coloring. And he loves the water and is a swimmer to boot! Brutus is an affectionate and calm gentleman. He is well-behaved. Does not jump or fuss. He is doggie social and just loves everybody. He loves to sunbathe. He loves to sit at your feet during the day while you work but then go out and play with his doggie friends. He is a non barker. He's been someone's pet so he is a turn-key boy. This is what his foster said about him: Brutus is a great all-around dog. He is uber doggie social. He is enjoying his walks & loves swimming. He aims to please. She says he would fit in as a walking or hiking buddy or a couch potato. Will be very loyal. He’s obviously lived in a home and the foster says he’s crate trained but no need to use it! Brutus is a happy-go-lucky boy who sits for treats. And he is a chucky monkey to boot! Brutus has lived with kids and dogs. He is not a barker, he is not a jumper, he just wants to hang with his people. He is great on the leash. He likes to play with dogs but is ultimately a couch potato. Meet the Stately and Handsome Beau

Beau has lived with dogs and kids (age 2 and 12). The 12 year old used to walk him! He is very calm and non-reactive in any situation. And those ears! One is always up and one is always down! I suspect he’d be fine with cats as he ignored chickens on the farm he is fostering with. And he's one handsome fella. Housebroken and very calm in the house and well-behaved. His foster took him to Petco and he was amazing. He loved meeting people and dogs and watching a dog get groomed! He loves a certain blanket that is his binky and it is always with him. He’s two years old Shep/Lab mix, 64 lbs and fully vetted (including microchip) and heartworm NEGATIVE. He is a happy go lucky boy. Loves his bones and the couch at TV time. He sits by your feet all day as you work. Loves other dogs and all people. Fully vetted and healthy. Loves to ride in the car and sunbathe. He is a perfect gentlemen in the house and no leg-lifting! Pocket Bully girl sweetie pie at 39 pounds and exactly a year old.

Layla is your typical comical little Bully girl. Happy, Joyful, Calm when
she has to be, affectionate and loving. Fine on leash and in the car. Loves
her Dolly, carries it around all day. Sunbathes, explores the garden, plays
with her fellow doggies. Great with older kids. Just a perfect little
soul. She c***s her head every time you speak to her. It's adorable. She
has puppy energy but calms down quickly. She just needs some fine-tuning
with her puppy playfulness.

She's very sweet, affectionate, well mannered, submissive and fostering in
Norwalk. She is uber doggie social.
Layla has excellent house manners. She likes to talk too! Loves the couch
at TV time. Layla has never
had puppies, and was obviously well cared for and loved even though her
Mommy gave her up to a kill shelter. She has been properly socialized and

Please help us to save this dear dog's life. Bella is such a sweetheart and friendly with everyone, including cats. She is a 9 year old Bully Mix, but very docile and friendly even to strangers. She never barks and is house trained and spayed and up on her shots. She doesn’t have to be walked; she just needs a fenced in yard to “do her business.” Elliot always called her "his daughter" Please don't let her end up being euthanized. Her owned died suddenly and his friend is trying to race the clock to save this baby girl. She's great in the car. She has been a pet her whole life so she is a turn key little girl. She is one step from being sent to the shelter. We need help please. She has gained a couple of pounds since these photos as she wasn’t getting any exercise. Pixie is the cutest little female mix at a Kill Shelter. Looks to be only 6 months old. Can you imagine this poor little girl out on her own stray in the world? It's insane. SEEKING FEMALE AND ONLY PET HOUSEHOLD FOR THIS BEAUTY TO BE AT HER BEST! SHE LOVES GIRL TALK WITH HER PEOPLE. HERE IS HER STORY

Whiskey was in an outdoor pen in Georgia for 14 months. She was starting to deteriorate, so I placed her with an in-house training professional. And I’m happy to report she has come light years now and is a very well-adjusted loving and adorable companion doggie! She was given a raw deal in life and I’m trying to fix that.

Our beautiful little Whiskey girl is so grateful to have her own couch and own foster home. See Video!

She is a true lover and will give you endless cuddles and kisses to prove her love. She adores a good game of tug of war and then fetch but good luck getting the ball away from her. The Ball is her Binky. Our beauty is housetrained and does fantastically well in her kennel. She’s a very fast learner as she is treat motivated AND looks fabulous in Pink! She has mastered leash-walking. She is uber loyal and devoted and will be your best friend for life. We have decided her perfect home would be female only and as an only pet. That is her sweet spot. But just for interest sake she is living with her trainer’s husband and other dogs but to be her best self where she can completely relax is with a female and only pet household.

She can meet all sorts of people and dogs in the outside world, that is not a problem. She is living with her trainer so her trainer knows how to introduce her to new people, dogs and situations. And the the trainer can impart all this valuable information to whomever falls in love and adopts Whiskey. This little Beauty is so deserving and worthy and will give back to you in spades of love for years to come. She is a great room-mate as she is very well-behaved. Whiskey loves to ride in the car! She is a totally known-entity as she has lived with my trainer for 3 months, so that is Golden when choosing a new friend for life. Her trainer adores her and we are just waiting for that one special adopter to come along. Whiskey is a Bully Terrier Mix, 45 pounds and fully vetted and very healthy.
