We fully vet our dogs and foster them in happy homes before we post them for adoption. Once they are posted we spend time with potential adopters discussing the dogs and providing videos and pictures of them. Our goal is to have a perfect match for the adopters and most of all, the dogs.

Sully is a year old. He is an American Bulldog Mix. His Mommy was pure American Bulldog and Sully and his brother were taller with longer legs so that is from the mystery Daddy. He's gained weight so I'd guess he's 58 pounds now.

Sully has been in our rescue for a year. He was just a puppy when he came in with his litter and Mom.
I fostered him for months and decided he needed professional training so he had 2 months living with my trainer.
Sully has always been extremely timid. But once he felt safe in my home, my house was his castle. I needed him to be exposed to more than my home with dogs and just me in a fenced in year. So he went off to my trainer who is a man who worked with him one-on-one. Sully now trusts him too and ha gain confidence and training off leash obedience.
This is what Josh, his trainer wrote:

I would recommend he goes to an adult home with people who love and understand dogs. He will require a lot of attention to develop an owner/pet bond. He's willing to please once the bond is developed. He does well with other animals and is submissive. He is a project but he responds to kindness and gentleness and is so adorable. As a foster I will cover all food expenses and any medical he might need. He's a gentle soul who responds to gentleness and TLC.

I'm looking for a temporary foster while I search for his Forever Home.

She was a refugee from Arkansas 12 years ago and has only known one home. She's a good girl. She loves to sunbathe and play with her toys in the fenced in garden. She loves attention from people and is receptive to pets from strangers. She is totally non reactive and always ends up on her back showing her Tummy for a good rub. Addis is 11 years old and 50 pounds and fully vetted and healthy. She's a quiet girl. She loves other dogs and children. She's cat friendly as she lives with cats. Located in the Darien Area.. Speak to her Mommy. The husband has health issues and they need to rehome their pets. Ask for her video she's a dear soul and would make a great companion for a family, retirees or solo
Let' sget this girl into her Forever Retirement Home. She's great with kids, cats and dogs. I will cover any health issues going forward with a Vet.

This sweet girl was adopted from a VA Rescue I work with 5 years ago and lived happily on a farm. Her owner died and the children have moved in with their families and the poor dog is completely unsettled. She is in PA and we are looking for a farm for her to live happily ever after.

Looking for a similar home that she had with her Daddy who died.

Pearl is an outside girl. She is happiest running around all night
long on the farm chasing bunnies and other critters. She spends her
days sleeping in the wood shed or in the sun in summer and on a pillow
by the fire in winter. That is her world. People are present and she
comes for a scratch now and again, but is not a cuddly. By nature, she
is fearful of people. Our family, she trusts and is calm with. New
people arriving; especially with ladders or on tractors, she is afraid
of. Her reaction to her fear is to snap. This is never aggressive. She
never breaks the skin, but she will lunge and snap at a frightening
person and then run off to hide. This has happened on walks with new
people or at the house when a stranger arrives. It can happen if she
is sleeping and is awakened with someone too close. A snap and then
she runs away.

Pearl is a sweet girl though. She is not food aggressive and walks on
a leash nicely for long walks with a gentle leader. She is fine with
our barn cats and does not give them any notice at all. She gets along
well with other dogs. A large property with space to roam and people
who will feed her and be present in the background is her ideal world.

Pearl is 6 years old. She is a hound mix. Medium size. White with some
brown spots. She is spayed and up to date on rabies and flea and tick
medication.

If you have a quiet home with lots of space without children running
in and out unexpectedly, Pearl will be a wonderful addition. No pests
in the garden when she is out all night.

Meet Max who is looking for a Female only household with Children (Whom he adores), or without Children, and with a dog his size, and he'd be in heaven. He's a wonderful watch dog, so he can provide that security for your home. He's a loyal and Gentle boy.

Meet Max, the incredible canine companion who captured our hearts from the moment we laid eyes on him. Max is a magnificent 62 pound 16 Month old bundle of joy with a heart as big as his size. Max has a wealth of love and happiness to offer a family willing to take a chance on him. Max's defining feature is his unbridled enthusiasm and affection.

Max has fostered with me for 2.5 months. I am a single woman living alone with multiple dogs and he is one happy camper in this household. I have determined, even though he did live with a man (whom he loved off the bat) and his family, he is most comfortable with an Adult Female with or without children household. He actually LOVES children. His tail starts wagging the moment he meets them. And he loves to play with dogs his size.

But it is evident that somewhere in his past a man was not kind to him. But this does not manifest itself at all in my household. He met my Male Vet Tech easily with no issues and he can eventually warm up to men but I think in a perfect world he would make a loving companion in a female lead household with children/ without children as a wonderful watch dog. If men do come to the home, it’s easiest just to crate him and he is fine. Again he can be friends with men, but it will take time to nurture it. It’s not complicated and honestly I’m focusing on setting him up to succeed and not fail. He would love a home with another dog or two as he is an uber doggie player but is best with dogs his size which is in the 60s pound range.

He is always eager to shower his human friends with kisses and attempt to curl up in their laps, despite his size. His playful nature is apparent as he entertains himself for hours with toys and bones, showcasing his independent spirit. This big lug's playful demeanor extends to his interactions with other dogs. Max would likely thrive in the company of a canine companion of similar size and energy. During his time with us, Max displayed a wonderful rapport with our kids, bringing joy and laughter to our home. He even has a unique quirk of nibbling ears, adding an extra touch of endearing charm. Max's lovable nature and ability to create a sense of comfort by laying next to you during alone time make him an ideal addition to a loving home. Max is housebroken and fine on the leash. His willingness to adapt to a crate at night is a testament to his good-natured demeanor. Once he is settled, he sleeps through the night without a peep. In conclusion, Max is a beautiful, loveable soul who is waiting for the right family to give him the chance he truly deserves. If you're ready to welcome a big-hearted, playful companion into your home, Max is the perfect candidate. With a little patience and guidance, he has the potential to become a cherished member of your family, bringing boundless joy and love into your lives. Fostering in Norwalk CT ask for his video
