The Dog Days of Summer are almost here, and with them full days of sunshine and heat. When you head outside to enjoy some summer fun, you might think to slather sunscreen on yourself... but what about your pet? 🐾
Pets with thin or light-colored coats are particularly susceptible to sunburn, which is not only painful but can cause skin cancer just like in humans. Keep that in mind this summer, and if your dog is susceptible, shop for pet-safe sunscreen and apply it generously and frequently, especially to the nose, belly, groin, ear tips, and tail, all of which are high risk for burns. ☀️
Losing a pet is one of the most heartbreaking experiences. Their lives are far too short, and when they go they leave with a piece of our heart. ❤️🩹

A retired street cat, Blue Boy found his loving forever home in 2019 after being captured for TNR. After years of happy life with his family, Blue Boy was unfortunately diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma on his nose. 💔
With the help of generous donors, Blue Boy's family was able to get him the treatment he needed. He was finally able to eat normally again, and his pain was back under control as the treatment worked its magic! 💕

Meet Bella, a sweet senior from CAMO Dog Rescue. She needs a helping paw! 🙏
Sweet senior Bella was heartbreakingly brought to a vet for euthanasia by her former owner, who did not want to continue caring for her. Luckily, her vets intervened, and she was surrendered instead. 💕
Clearly suffering from long-term neglect, as shown by her matted fur and overgrown nails, Bella also had an ulcerated, 3lb tumor dragging down her leg that needed removal. This poor girl had been through so much! 💔
Now safe and receiving ongoing treatment, Bella and her rescuers are asking for a helping paw to fundraise for the outstanding costs of her surgery and medical care. Can you be the hero they need? 🐾

Zelda is here to share her ! 🎉
When sweet Zelda was found wandering the streets, she was carrying the burden of a massive nine-pound tumor. Thankfully, North Star Rescue stepped in to save her.
In addition to the tumor, Zelda was severely underweight, anemic, heartworm positive, and full of hookworms. Today, she is on the road to recovery. She’s had the tumor removed, her damaged leg has been amputated, and she’s doing remarkably well as a tripod. ❤️🩹
A happy dog, Zelda is slowly but surely gaining weight and acquiring strength while living in a loving home with doggie siblings for company. Thanks to the support of North Star Rescue and the Waggle community, she has a new lease on life! Thanks to all who supported her journey. 💙

Adorable Flower from Three Little Pitties Rescue is here to share her ! 🥰
After being abandoned, sick and afraid, in the middle of a neighborhood, Flower found her way to the house of a very sweet family. The children fell in love with her and begged for her to be saved, so Three Little Pitties was contacted to help. 🐾
Settled in with the family of 3, Flower began her long treatment for skin infection, heart worm, a tumor on her stomach, spaying and extensive dental work. With the help of generous donors from the , we are now so happy to share Flower's paw-some pupdate:
"Flower has been under the care of Three Little Pitties Rescue and is thriving! She received her medical care including dental work for broken teeth and treatment for a skin infection. The surgery to remove the mass ended up being life saving, as it was found to be cancerous! Once recovered from that surgery, Flower began heartworm treatment and is loving life in her new home! Thank you for helping this sweet innocent girl live her senior years surrounded by love and pain-free!" ❤️🩹

Tater is here to share his ! 🎉
After being abandoned at 10 months old, Tater found his perfect forever family and settled right in. For 4 years, Tater enjoyed life with his family - Including playtime and squirrel watching with his 3 fur-siblings! 🐾
Unfortunately, at 4 years old Tater received the devastating diagnosis of lymphoma. Luckily, he was a candidate for chemo. So, to help with the unexpected expense, Tater and his family asked the for a helping paw to raise the funds needed for treatment. 💕
The Waggle Community, along with a sponsorship from Bev Lambert's Wonderdog Fund, came to the rescue, helping Tater reach his fundraising goal!
Tater's Mom says:

Meet sweet Violet from Murphy's Paw Rescue. She needs a helping paw! 🙏
Violet was pulled from animal control. This sweet girl had clearly been used again and again for breeding in the past, and was in serious need of medical attention. Finally safe, Violet can't wait to start a new, happy chapter of her life. First, though, she has some things that need addressing!
Violet needs to be spayed, vaccinated, and have bloodwork done. She is also suffering from mammary tumors, which need to be removed and sent for testing. To help fundraise for this long list of medical expenses, Violet and her rescuers are asking for help! 🐾

Happy feel good Friday! Sweet Corgi Ellie is here to share her paw-some success story! 🎉
Adopted during Covid, Ellie has been an integral member of her family from day 1. Unfortunately, her happy life came to a screeching halt when she was diagnosed with Juvenile Lymphoma at only 3 years old. While the disease has a high recovery rate with CHOP chemotherapy, the treatment came with an incredibly high price tag. With the treatment a financial stretch, Ellie and her family turned to the Waggle Community for a helping paw to fundraise. 🐾
Now, Ellie's campaign has reached its goal, and we are so happy to share this pup-date with you:
"Thank you all so much for donating to help get Ellie the treatment she needs in order to keep this Lymphoma at bay. You guys have made this treatment much more manageable for me financially and helping me to see that one of my best friends gets the treatment we all know she deserves. Ellie's Flow Cytometry came back and luckily for us its a B-Cell Lymphoma which can be managed for a while using the chemo drug Doxorubicin. I'm happy to report that she began her treatment on February 7th and has been handling it extremely well. If you saw her and didn't know she was going through chemo you would have no idea she was battling cancer. She will be receiving four more treatments spaced out every three weeks with lab work in between to monitor her blood cell counts. Ever since this treatment began, Ellie is now on a homemade dog food that she absolutely loves. She's beginning to resemble that of an overstuffed sausage. Even having managed to gain weight during chemo so far. And did I mention she's as happy as can be exhibiting no signs of pain or discomfort from the Doxorubicin? Tough as nails, she is. Assuming all goes well, her cancer will be in remission by summertime." ❤️

Sweet Buddy from A Pathway To Hope needs your help! 🙏
Buddy is a survivor - He was dropped at animal control by a man who claimed to have found him, but was actually his owner, and was later charged with neglect.
Buddy is the sweetest boy who just wants a safe place and love. He lived so long in pain and through neglect that he is just happy to now be comfortable and loved. ❤️🩹
Buddy suffers from a laundry list of health concerns as a result of his years of neglect. Skin lesions, ear infections, Lyme disease, a terribly injured back paw, and cancerous tumors that need removal (he has a great prognosis with the removal surgery, luckily!) are just some of his issues. His dedicated rescue and medical teams are working hard to get him back to health! 🩺
Unfortunately, with such intensive treatment comes bills - so Buddy and his rescuers are asking for a helping paw! 🐾 Can you be the hero this Very Good Boy needs? 💕

Adorable Piper from One By One Animal Advocates is here to share her !
Piper is the survivor of irresponsible breeding. Covered in mammary tumors, Piper was dumped at a shelter when she was no longer useful for producing puppies. With her visible ailments, no one wanted to adopt her, so she remained alone and scared. 💔
Luckily, the amazing folks at One By One heard about Piper and rushed to her rescue! Safe and warm at their sanctuary, Piper was given the medical care she needed. 🥰
To help with the costs of her tumor removal surgery, One By One teamed up with for Pets to fundraise. The community answered the call, and now we are so happy to share this heartwarming pupdate:
"We want to thank everyone who donated for Piper's surgery. Her masses were removed, and sent for biopsy. Most of the masses were benign and the mammary mass came back as low-grade complex adenocarcinoma, but the surgery provided her an excellent prognosis. The surgery allowed her to feel playful and affectionate, and we are thrilled to report she has been adopted!" ❤️

This , sweet pup Remy is back to share his ! 💕
You may remember Remy from a while ago. This sweet boy is a beloved member of a doting family, who had been battling cancer since the end of 2022. After multiple surgeries and chemo, his doctors decided that radiation therapy would be the next step in his treatment. With a very large bill accompanying the therapy, Remy and his family asked for a helping paw to fundraise. 🐾
The community answered their call for help, and now we are so happy to share this pup-date with you!
"Remy is so thankful for everyone's contributions. We started radiation oncology treatments with Blue Pearl in Malvern and we are counting down the days until his CT scan. His tumor is growing but we are staying positive that radiation will intervene and give his body a chance to heal. Please continue to send us positive vibes and happy thoughts as we start this next part of his cancer journey."

Meet Chloe, a very sweet senior kitty who is in need of a helping paw! 🐾
Sweet Chloe has been with her family since she was a baby. She is now 17 years old! This adorable senior spends her days snuggling with her Mom and kitty siblings, and being a spoiled elderly lady. 🥰
Unfortunately, Chloe's Mom recently noticed some blood in Chloe's mouth. Rushed to the vet, a mass was discovered. A surgery and testing later, sweet Chloe has been diagnosed with cancer. 💔
Now Chloe needs to go see an oncologist to discuss her next treatment steps. Chloe's Mom is a seasonal worker, so finances are tight right now. So, they need a little help fundraising for Chloe's specialist appointment. 🙏

Little Rosie from Murphy's Paw Rescue is here to share her . 🥰
Little Rosie found sanctuary with Murphy's Paw after being saved from euthanasia at the pound. Being a little love-bug, Rosie has settled into her foster home perfectly - She is a true lap dog who adores kisses, cuddles and pats! 💕
In preparation for finding her forever home, Little Rosie went to the doctor for a wellness check. Her rescuers knew that she would require some dental work, but the doctor also found 3 little lumps on her belly. It was determined that these were mammary tumors, and that they needed to be removed! 💔
Murphy's Paw asked the for help to fundraise for this unexpected surgery. Thanks to a generous 100% grant from The MuttNation Foundation, and the kindness of Waggle donors, Little Rosie's surgery was fully funded! 🎉
