Our Winter Break horse camps are here! We have options for Short Stirrups kiddos (ages 5-7), our Regular camp for 8-13yo, and an Adult camp for ages 14+. During our camps you will spend a generous amount of time in the saddle, as well as learn fundamental horsemanship skills like grooming, saddling, and other cowboy-type activities. 📢 They're back- our mini-riding lessons! Our Halloween themed event is fun for first timers and for people with a little more experience. From 10-12:00, just show up to get a ride. Visit with the other horses and barn cats, and spend some time playing yard games surrounded by beautiful ranch scenery.

⭐️ NEW ⭐️ Have a group that wants to ride together? Reserve one of our early time slots (9:00, 9:20, or 9:40) to skip the line and get your whole crew riding together. The cost for a 15 minute ride slot is $120 and accommodates up to 6 riders at once. Email [email protected] to snag your spot.

Young riders ages 5-7! We have a bi-weekly program for you starting in mid- August 🤩🥳

"Short Stirrups" lessons are for our youngest aspiring riders. These half hour lessons are focused on safety and fun, and your child will ride each week of this session in addition to learning a few ground skills such as brushing and leading. These half hour lessons will be happening SUNDAYS, August 11, 25, September 8, and 22 at 12:00, 12:45, and 1:30.

Our second Summer Session of riding lessons begins on Monday! 5 weeks of teaching "The Whole Horse-" herdsmanship, groundwork, and of course, plenty of western riding each week. On the agenda for our upcoming session is:

Leg wrapping 101
Wound management and care
No-hands riding challenges
Mini jumping course
Ranch riding patterns
Lateral and lead change practice (for advanced riders)
And of course- barrel racing and pole bending practice before our show on August 25.

Our previous session's students learned about safe trailer loading, showmanship, assembling and fitting bridles correctly, and competed against each other in a ranch pattern for a prize, all while advancing their individual riding skills at their own pace.

SCAMMER ALERT. Someone is falsely advertising a horse, saying they are at our place, and asking to be pre-paid before visiting the non-existent horse. I would *never* ask anyone to pre-pay before trialing a horse. If you are being sent to COPPER MOON RANCH at 8409 G24 Hwy, Norwalk (or Indianola) Iowa, by anyone besides myself, you are being scammed. We had one gal show up to our place earlier today, very confused, realizing she'd been scammed by a false profile on FB.

I do not have any boarders selling their horses currently, and the one pinto mare I have posted is already pending. I am unsure of whether or not this scammer is using my horse's photos are not, so I've included her picture just in case.

Please message me if you have any info on who might be behind this.

Our Spring session of weekly riding lessons begins on Monday, March 18! We have limited spots available for small group lessons for first time through advanced riders ages 8 and over. Our instructors and lesson horses are ready to help elevate your western riding, barrel racing, and horsemanship skills to the next level.
