We are a true no-kill shelter, and will do whatever we can, however long it takes, to find suitable, loving homes for the animals in our care. PAWS is a no kill shelter that has been helping homeless animals since 1962. We have Cats and Dogs for adoption, 12-4pm Tuesday thru Sunday! You do need an appointment to visit now, and you must be an approved adopter.

Tater tot is wondering why he hasn’t been adopted. He understood that his TPLO surgery was expensive and it’s a long recovery. Now his bionic leg is fully healed and he’s ready to go home.

Magick was found on the streets of Bridgeport, trying to get into houses. She was obviously someone's pet who was abandoned. Magick is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, spayed, & ready to go home. What makes her is that she demands to be the only cat in the home. She is such a sweet, gentle girl - it's such a shame that this quality has held her back from finding her forever home but most adopters already have at least one cat.

Izzy is an amazing senior who was diagnosed with diabetes at intake. He is currently doing very well on a new oral medication called Senvelgo, but he may require insulin at some point in his life. He is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, neutered & seems to get along with other nice cats. Izzy is considered due to his diabetes & will require an experienced adopter committed monitoring his life long condition.

Turtle has a heart condition called HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy), along with a grade 4/6 heart murmur. This causes him to be considered because of continuous medication & follow up appointments to monitor his condition. But he takes his medicine no problem & his last recheck in June was great. This young boy has a lot of love to give - please consider adopting him 🐾💕

It is adopt a less adoptable dog week and Benji has been at PAWS for a year. It’s been stressful for him. He used to live with kids. Benji has been working so hard! The best reward, more than a treat, is to go home and show you what a good boy he is!
