A couple of us went out yesterday and made some cookie deliveries. We wanted to show some appreciation to our local law enforcement agencies who are always down to help us when we need them, our wonderful vets/staff at Mapleview who see our faces all the time and our Dog Wardens Office who always has their hands full with the non stop calls and stray dogs running around our county. We couldn't do this alone and we have utmost respect for all of these agencies. Unfortunately, it got late and we didn't make it to a few of our destinations because they were closed by the time we would have made it there. We appreciate you all. If it were possible, we would have brought all of you amazing supporters cookies too😁 Thank you all and have a very Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄

Shout out to Mel and Brent from Bauer Heating and Air. Not only were they at the shelter all day working on installing our boiler, but they also noticed our van had a flat tire and didn't hesitate to run right out there and fix it for us!!! You guys are awesome❤️

This lovely lady is Sprinkles. She's around a year and a half and she's a Husky/Malamute/Mix. She's a very tall girl and we weighed her in at 80 pounds. She is VERY active, knows her commands very well but she is a jumper and enjoys body slamming us, all in fun of course. We're working on correcting these negative behaviors but aside from that, she is a really sweet girl and loves attention. She is a very high maintenance breed and it is a must that she go home with someone who has experience with this breed. She needs a lot of exercise, mental stimulation, and a person who is familiar with these traits along with the stubborn side. She needs to stay busy, get lots of running, hiking, etc. She seems to like the other dogs here and has shown no reactivity to any of our cats. I have not introduced her to any kiddos yet but I can guarantee, she WILL knock them down, at least at this point. Training and patience works wonders. She is fabulous and we will only consider serious, experienced applicants. Many people want these dogs because they are so beautiful but don't understand them. We want our dogs and adopters to be successful!!!! She can start having visitors on Tuesday the 24th.

Forest gave many of us such a terrible scare and the fact that he is back home and out of these elements is a Christmas miracle to say the least. Here's a few pictures his new mama sent me this evening. He has his own basement 5 star accommodations. She said he has slept since he's been back and he is comfy in his crate. Poor guy has been through so much trauma in his few, short years of life. Let's all wish him and his family the best Merry Christmas and a New Year full of love and new beginnings. 🎉🎄❤️. Thank you Donna for giving him love and patience and a special opportunity to live his best life. We appreciate you!!!

Norwalk in town friends, Reagan’s cat got out of her boyfriend’s house about 4am today. He lives on Courtland Street by Main Street.

Bing B**g is black and had a white collar on.

She is approximately 8 months old, shiny coat, yellowish green eyes, she is small.

She is very sweet and might come to you if you call her by name. But she might be very scared, she is normally inside. She might come to food rattled in a bowl and maybe take a leash if you get ahold of her. She will go in a crate if you get her.

This is my daughter’s cat. She is in the hospital, she just had a major surgery yesterday. She is extremely upset.

THERE IS A PROFESSIONAL GROUP INVOLVED AND THEY ASK THAT NO ONE IS OUT ACTIVELY LOOKING FOR HIM AS IT MAY SCARE HIM FURTHER AWAY. DON'T CALL HIS NAME. THE MOST HELPFUL THING WE CAN ASK OF ANYONE IS TO REPORT SIGHTINGS ONLY. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONCERN AND CARING!!!! ❤️. THIS PROCESS TAKES A LOT OF PATIENCE.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP! REPORT ANY SIGHTINGS BUT DO NOT TRY TO APPROACH OR CALL FOR HIM. THIS WILL SCARE HIM MORE. Our boy Forest went on a home visit today and escaped. He is in the Huron, Berlin Township area, near Knight and Jeffries Road. He came from a hoarding case, he's had little to zero human interaction and won't willingly come to anyone. He is terrified but harmless and will do whatever he can to hide. His brand new mom did everything right for him and he still managed to get away. She is devastated. We need all the help we can get. He will absolutely run from you. We are going to reach out to other agencies that specialize in this type of situation and would appreciate any and all sightings of him so we can report it. Thank you!!!! And send prayers for Forest and his new family.

This cute little guy is Devin. He's a seven month old mixed breed. He's not going to be a really big guy, probably medium size when fully grown. He was on a home visit and came back due to no fault of his own. He's a puppy so he is rambunctious and will need training to he the best boy he can be. He loves attention and would benefit from an active family to help burn off that puppy energy. If you have kiddos, please be aware that he will jump on them, nibble and likely knock them down. These are all typical puppy behaviors that can easily be corrected if trained and guided.

This is 4 year old Jazz. She's a yellow lab and has an amazing, cheerful disposition. She loves to play fetch and she's great about giving her toy back to keep on playing. She's a lover girl and will be a great addition to a loving family❤️. Also, she's a little chonky so she'll benefit from an active family to help her get her healthy figure back😁
