Last weekend, these AM PM Ideal Pet Care RVTs attended the San Diego Veterinary Dental Weekend. This educational experience covered topics such as Periodontal Therapy, Dental Radiology and Interpretation, Basic & Advanced Dental Extractions. Veterinary Medicine is a lifelong learning career and by attending continuing education lectures and conferences we can continue to provide our patients with the exceptional care they deserve.

If you’ve visited us recently, you may have seen our externship vet students shadowing our team of Doctors as they went about their day. These students dedicated their time here at AM PM Ideal Pet Care absorbing as much knowledge and diving into this experience full force. They gave a presentation based on what they learned and are now continuing on to the next chapter in their academic journey. We wish them a bright future and welcome these upcoming veterinary professionals into the field.

Continuing education in medicine is imperative! Recently, we had an in-house DVM help train our doctors to utilize an echocardiogram.

This is a diagnostic tool that uses ultrasound waves to closely observe not only the inside of the heart but around it as well.

Veterinary students visited our hospital recently to shadow Dr.Choi and our team of veterinarians. By placing them in a clinical environment, they acquire a learning experience of what the transition is like going from the role of student to DVM. By providing these prospective doctors a sneak peek into this career we hope to help support and guide them on their veterinary journey.

This handsome boy came in with an eye condition known as entropion. This means the eyelids roll inward causing eyelashes to rub against the cornea resulting in irritation to the surface of the eye. Dr. Lee surgically resolved this problem by removing the excess skin around the eyelid thus tightening it to correct the lid deformity. No more painful, squinty eye for him!
